Maoershan is located in the northwest of Xing 'an, 55km away from Xing 'an and 8 1km away from downtown Guilin. It spans Xing 'an and Ziyuan counties, covering an area of 53,000 hectares. The main peak of Yuechengling, one of the five mountains, with the highest elevation of 2 142 meters, is not only the first peak in Guangxi, but also the first peak in South China.

Maoershan is the birthplace of Lijiang, Zijiang and Jiang Xun. The four seasons have their own characteristics, such as blooming in spring, summering in summer, climbing mountains in autumn and snowing in winter.
