In the present moment Among the literary creations of China, there seem to be fewer and fewer touching works. Writers value story more than emotion or soul. Therefore, it is difficult for us to be moved by a work. But "Changing Love" by the talented boy Bian Jinyang really moved me. A father can exchange his body, health and even soul for everything of a "problem boy". A father's greatness can be remembered through the ages without a single word: What kind of love can compare? Of course, the child Zhang Dabao discovered all this in the end, and he was determined to use everything he got from his father to regain his dying life. So there was "exchanging love".
"Exchanging Love" is a short play in form, but in fact it is a fable. When Zhang Dabao was born, he was declared to be a "brother-in-law". His grandmother insisted on throwing him into the river, but his father took him back. But Zhang Dabao, who "knocked off relatives", was unfortunately told that his grandmother, grandparents and mother were all really dead. Zhang Dabao, who depends on his father, has been getting into trouble since he was six years old. His father constantly exchanged his own health for Zhang Dabao's scarred body and happiness. When the overdrawn father no longer had the capital to exchange his body for his child's change of heart, he would rather use Soul exchange. We don't know whether Zhang Dabao finally exchanged his love for his father's life, but the long road "home" has already revealed Zhang Dabao's return as a prodigal son.
The emergence of "Exchanging Love" not only means the grand debut of writers born in the "90s", but also heralds the infinite possibilities of their creations. This is a generation without historical memory, but Bian Jinyang’s emotional memory is as profound as his predecessors: In the creative experience, a fifteen-year-old boy realized that his father was, "He was bent over by life. When I exchange my own time for my happiness, I grow old." After reading this, I believe all fathers will shed tears of happiness. That is the child's understanding, a reward that the father cannot or cannot expect. "Exchanging Love" uses this kind of artistic imagination to express Bian Jinyang's understanding of his father's generation: the "problem boy" in the novel finally entered his father's heart and felt his father's power. If there is a problem, I think the word "change" in the title of the novel needs to be carefully considered and is used too literally. It might be better if it is more symbolic or allegorical. In fact, the love between father and son is not an "exchange", it is not a mutual "exchange". It is a great love without any utility, without words or boundaries.
