Brief introduction of Yang Yang

Dr. Yang Yang is currently an assistant professor at the School of Tourism and Hotel Management of Temple University in the United States and the deputy director of the Center for Tourism Economic Analysis. Dr. Yang Yang graduated from the University of Florida, USA with a doctorate in economic geography (minor: econometrics), a master's degree in economics and a master's degree in statistics. Before receiving a full scholarship to study in the United States, Yang Yang studied in Nanjing University, Peking University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master's degree in Hotel and Tourism Management respectively. Dr. Yang Yang pays attention to the application of multidisciplinary theories and methods to deeply analyze the economic problems of tourism and hotel industry. Its main research directions include: (1) tourism demand and regional tourism economic growth; (2) Hotel location and financial analysis; (3) Statistics of tourism data and econometric modeling. In the past few years, Dr. Yang has published more than ten research papers in the journals included, including Yearbook of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Journal of Tourism Research and International Journal of Hotel Management. Dr Yang Yang applied his research results to the practice of tourism planning. In the past few years, Dr. Yang Yang has participated in many local tourism planning projects in the United States and China as a project manager or main finisher, and has accumulated rich industry experience. Dr. Yang Yang's main specialties are: (1) tourism market potential analysis and marketing strategy design, (2) tourism spatial layout optimization and structural adjustment, and (3) tourism investment and financing analysis.
