The Kansai region of Japan actually refers to Feng Jingen, a geographical region in the central and western parts of Honshu, Japan. It consists of Kyoto Prefecture, Osaka Prefecture, Shiga Prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, Nara Prefecture, Wakayama Prefecture, Mie Prefecture, and sometimes Fukui Prefecture or Tokushima Prefecture.
It should be no stranger to see Nara in Kyoto Osaka. Kansai is the center of Japanese culture and commerce.
If you ask me, every place in this Kansai area is worth seeing ~
Shiga prefecture
Shiga Prefecture is located at the intersection of East Japan and West Japan, with the Sea of Japan on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. It has played the role of a traffic fortress since ancient times. Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, is located in Shiga Prefecture, accounting for about 1/6 of the county's land area.

As the earliest commercial city in Japan, Osaka is now the second largest city after Tokyo. The edo period was called "the kitchen of the world", and now it is also called "the city of poor food". Few people have a better say in this topic than I do. I spent nine years in Japan, one and a half years in Osaka and seven and a half years in Kyoto. Needless to say, Osaka is modern, commercialized and young people are fashionable. There are many prosperous lots, commercial streets and shopping malls. If the scenic spots are really nothing, it is that the whole is very modern, Universal Studios is very famous, and there are classical Osaka Castle and hot springs. Jimianshan Hot Spring is very big and famous.
Compared with Osaka, I have spent the longest time in Kyoto and know Kyoto best. It can be said that if you like the architecture of the Tang Dynasty, it is right to come to Kyoto. Our modernization has developed rapidly, and many ancient traditional things have been lost. Kyoto has been largely preserved for us. The whole urban layout and architecture of Kyoto are similar to those of Chang 'an and Luoyang in the Tang Dynasty. So far, there are many areas named after Luoyang, such as high schools and so on, which are all world heritage sites. Such a precious thing, Kyoto has 17 places, full of historical sites. Contrary to Osaka, life in Kyoto is very slow and comfortable. Modernity and tradition coexist, influence each other and do not interfere with each other. It's really beautiful. It blends perfectly. Chai Jing said, if there is an opportunity, please come to Kyoto, a word is enough to illustrate the charm of Kyoto. As for the scenic spots, there are too many.
Then Nara, also the ancient capital. It used to be an important place in Japanese history. Now the most famous is Dongda Temple, the deer in Nara Park, which is very cute and "scary".
People who like matcha can't miss Yuji. It's only 20 minutes by tram from Kyoto station. It can be said that the most pure matcha in the world is here. The century-old shops here are next to each other, which can satisfy all your expectations and fantasies about matcha. This is also the birthplace of Tale of Genji.
