The movie plot in Shanghai at night

During the "August 13th" Anti-Japanese War, the national army retreated from Shanghai, which made many refugees in the suburbs of Shanghai locked up outside the iron gate of the concession, with no way to enter, and were later hunted by the Japanese army. Tai Gong Mei Luan, with his wife and children and relatives, squeezed among the refugees and finally fled to the concession. However, the family was separated in a crowded room, leaving their wife and children behind. Although they escaped the Japanese massacre, they still had to face all kinds of oppression in their lives.
