Looking for a two-and-a-half-day self-guided tour guide to Xiamen for a family of three

I wrote a guide before for your reference. I recommend it in a more economical way. You can basically follow this guide for fun and food.

If you take the train, get out of Xiamen North Station and take BRT to Wenzao Station.

Things to do: Xiamen University, Nanputuo, and beaches (Xiamen University Baicheng, Pearl Bay, Zengcuo'an) are all nearby. No tickets are required. You can rent bicycles at the beach for about 20 yuan per person.

Zhongshan Road - Gulangyu Island is on the same line. The ferry fee to Gulangyu Island is 8 yuan (round trip). There is no ticket to go to the island, but tickets are required to enter the attractions (it is recommended to buy a pass, which costs more than 100 yuan. There are basically several attractions. ). The best way to go to the island is to take the boat from 6 to 7 o'clock, visit all the attractions first, and then stroll around the island. Don’t go to scenic spots after 10 o’clock, trust me, you can only see people. Don’t eat on the island, it’s best to bring your own dry food at noon. I have never eaten at a food stall on the island that costs less than 1,000. You can have dinner on Zhongshan Road, which is pretty good at night.

Outside the island, you can go to the Garden Expo. It is huge and can be enjoyed for a day. It is probably the Window of the World. (Tickets are 100-200, I forgot)

There are two larger amusement parks 1. Guanyin Mountain Dream Water World/Land World, tickets are 130-160, and there are discounts for online purchases.

2. Fantawild Dream Kingdom, the ticket price is more than 200. There is a special car outside the island. If you go there, you can spend almost a day.

Eat: I don’t think you want to eat Western food and foreign food. , I will skip this one

Shacha noodles: a classic combination with lean meat, duck blood, tofu, pork liver, and fried dough sticks. Consider adding shrimps and meatballs (don’t add squid and oysters, they are only eaten by tourists). Store: There is Jiayuehuasha Tea Noodles on Zhongshan Road, a time-honored brand. There is a black sugar sand tea noodle shop in Taisheng, which is the most famous (but this shop only sells it from 7 to 11 a.m., so expensive)

Mazi (one of the two characters has the word "rice" next to it. I'm looking for it. Less than...): Mochi with sesame inside and a layer of sesame on the outside can be found on the streets of Xiamen, but Gulangyu’s Ye’s Mazi is the most famous.

Jellied bamboo shoots: The second city’s jellied bamboo shoots are the most famous, but I think they are just a bit bigger. . . , available on the roadside or at food stalls, made from sandworms, and great with mustard.

Oyster Omelette: There is a famous restaurant on Zhongshan Road, you can search it on Baidu

Shacha Pork Skewers: At the end of Zhongshan Road Women’s Street, it’s a super time-honored restaurant, don’t go there for lunch

Duck porridge: Datong duck porridge is the most famous, and the one on Datong Road is the main store. Ps: The snack bar on Datong Road is the most authentic in Xiamen

Noodle paste: You can find it in the place that sells sand tea noodles.

Huang Zehe: Be sure to go to the main store on Zhongshan Road near the ferry. Peanut soup and leek boxes are must-try, as well as other Xiamen snacks. It’s an old store.

Wu Zaitian: In He Xiangxi Road is harder to find, so you can take a taxi or go to Datong Road to find Jiawei Zaitian. An old restaurant in Xiamen with snacks, super authentic, and a poor environment (this is the old restaurant in Xiamen, the aroma of wine is not afraid of the deep alley). Recommended: roasted pork rice dumplings, meat rice dumplings, shrimp noodles, sand tea noodles, and taro buns. Like Huang Zehe, they are both cheap.

Food stalls: The most famous ones are the small glasses and sea squid, but due to the endless queues and difficult parking, I rarely go there to eat. There is an Ah Xiong Food Stall on the Xiamen University campus in Pearl Bay. Personally, I think it’s pretty good. The Ah Chuan Food Stall is also pretty good, but since it’s a live-action restaurant, you have to make sure the price is right. I read in the newspaper that a tourist was ripped off with four dishes and one soup. five digits. You can check it out for yourself on Baidu here.

High-end Xiamen snack bars: Shuyou Seafood Restaurant, Lujiang Hotel Seaview Hall, A'Zhu Food Stalls. Personally I think it is more authentic, you can check it out on Dianping.com

Sandy gifts (only recommended for eating): Nanputuo vegetarian cake (mung bean flavor), coconut cake bought in Nanputuo, Gulangyu Huangshengji Meat Preserved meat (must buy it from the store above Gulangyu Island). There is no explanation for this. I send this to friends all over the country every year, which costs thousands. You can buy the others as you like

Bars: Louis One and 1801 are more expensive. There is a bar street on Guanren Road and a bar street on Xidi, with moderate prices. There is a helens in the museum, which is affordable and is usually visited by Xiamen students. The French fries and pizza are pretty good.

Snacks are all snack prices, ranging from 1 to 50 yuan. Food stalls are more expensive, the most expensive are about the same as hotels, and bars are the same price nationwide.

That’s probably all I’ve written. You can click here to check it out on Baidu first.

Have a nice time
