The Huating Lake Site Group is a cultural relic protection unit in Anhui Province.

The Huating Lake ruins group is located in Tazhen Village, Siqian Town, Tianhua Town, and Huangzhen Village, Taihu County, Anqing City, Anhui Province.

Huating Lake is an artificial lake located in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River. There were once dotted lakes under the lake, suitable for human survival. There are 54 ancient sites from the Neolithic to the Shang and Zhou dynasties in the lake area, forming a huge ancient Among the site groups, the most representative ones include the Liuhe site, the Huxingping site, the Jiangjiatu site, and the Tonggutu 1, 2, and 3 sites. The thickness of the cultural layer of the site is generally 1.5-3 meters. The upper part of the site is relatively flat, with rich cultural connotations and a wide range of artifacts and specimens. Such as tripod feet, hoe feet, utensil ears, spinning wheels, utensil mouth rims, net pendants, stone balls, stone adzes, stone axes, stone knives, etc. The decorations on pottery pieces mainly include rope patterns, additional pile patterns, blue patterns and grooved patterns. The pottery sherds are mainly red pottery with sand, followed by gray pottery with sand. The Huating Lake site group has concentrated geographical distribution, strong cultural continuity, rich connotation and obvious characteristics. It belongs to the Xuejiagang culture type. The sites are about 1.5 to 3 kilometers apart and face each other. Together they form a Neolithic to Shang Dynasty. The huge group of settlement sites in the Zhou Dynasty has extremely important archaeological value.
