Provisions on the administration of tourist ships

In order to standardize the business activities of the ship management industry, maintain the order of the ship management market, ensure the safety of waterway transportation and promote the healthy development of waterway transportation, these Provisions are formulated in accordance with relevant laws and administrative regulations. These Provisions shall apply to the domestic ship management business and its supervision and management activities within the territory of People's Republic of China (PRC).

Article 1 In order to standardize the business activities of the ship management industry, maintain the order of the ship management market, ensure the safety of waterway transportation and promote the healthy development of waterway transportation, these Provisions are formulated in accordance with relevant laws and administrative regulations.

Article 2 These Provisions shall apply to the operation, supervision and management of domestic ship management business within the territory of People's Republic of China (PRC). The term "ship management industry" as mentioned in these Provisions refers to the following ship management services provided by ship management operators for ship owners or ship charterers and ship operators according to the agreement:

(1) ship maintenance management;

(2) Maritime management of ships;

(3) overhaul and maintenance of ships;

(four) the sale, lease, operation and asset management of ships;

(5) Other ship management services.
