When will the west line of Line 14 be accessible?

The second phase of Beijing Metro Line 14 will start construction next year and will be extended westward to Qinglong Lake

The 18th Beijing-Hong Kong Fair will be held in Beijing from the 25th to the 26th of this month. Reporters learned from Fengtai District yesterday that the Qinglong Lake International Cultural City, which was highlighted at the Beijing-Hong Kong symposium, will become a gathering place for international organizations, a venue for international conferences, and a cultural, leisure and tourist destination. Transportation, education and other supporting facilities will follow suit. The second phase of Rail Transit Line 14 will lead to Qinglong Lake International Cultural Capital, and four stations will be set up here.

Qinglong Lake International Cultural Association is located in Wangzuo Town, Fengtai District. In May this year, the 75th World Seed Conference was held in Fengtai. Qinglong Lake International Cultural Association provides functional areas such as conferences, exhibitions, trade negotiations, and accommodation. Since then, the construction of supporting infrastructure here has also been accelerated. Among them, the second phase of Metro Line 14 will be extended from Zhangguozhuang Station to the southwest, connecting Wangzuo and Yungang areas, with 4 stations in the metropolitan area.

At the same time, Qinglong Lake Road 3, Road 10, Road 14 and other roads have been fully constructed.

According to the plan, the construction sites in the metropolis will include office areas for international organizations, clubs for international dignitaries, a core business district, a cultural and educational area, a China-Europe international health and wellness industry demonstration zone, and an international fashion and creative Silicon Valley, etc.

Among them, the International Dignitaries Club will create a special area for high-end activities of international dignitaries, making it the back garden of embassies and international institutions in Beijing. In the cultural and education zone, the High School Affiliated to the Renmin University of China will build three schools here, covering an area of ??800 acres, covering primary school, junior high school and high school. The Minzu University of China will also move its headquarters here, covering an area of ??1,200 acres, with an investment of 2 billion yuan and a planned enrollment of 12,900 students.

The relevant person in charge of Fengtai District also said that they will learn from the experience of Hangzhou West Lake to build Qinglong Lake into the "Beijing West Lake", carry out watershed remediation, improve the water quality of Qinglong Lake, and improve the lake water, rainwater, and landscape in the Qinglong Lake area. The overall planning and comprehensive implementation of the recycling of water, tap water, sewage and reclaimed water will build Qinglong Lake into the "Beijing West Lake".
