A must-see spot for a one-day tour in Jiaojiang, Taizhou
1, Jiaojiang Chenda Island
Chenda Island is the largest of Taizhou 106 islands, which is divided into Upper Chenda Island and Lower Chenda Island, among which Lower Chenda Island is a famous scenic spot. In order to protect the safety of fishermen at sea, a Mazu Tempel was built on the top of the mountain.
2. Qingxiu Temple in Fengshan
Fengshan and Baiyun Pavilion look at each other. There are tombs of martyrs at the northern foot of the mountain, springs on the hillside, and a Buddhist temple in the Ming Dynasty at the top of the mountain, called Qingxiu Temple. Qingxiu Temple, as its name implies, is clean and cultivates Buddha.
3. Baiyun Pavilion
Opposite Fengshan is Baiyun Mountain, and it takes only 20 minutes to climb from the foot of the mountain to the top. There is a Baiyun Pavilion at the top of the mountain, which is a landmark building in Jiaojiang District. Baiyun Pavilion is an imitation Tang building with 7 floors and a height of 35 meters. You can see the whole downtown area of Jiaojiang from Baiyun Pavilion, which is a good place to punch in and take photos for fitness. Seeing Jiaojiang Bridge in the distance is very shocking.
4. Jiaojiang old grain shop
There is also a Wenchuang Garden in Jiaojiang, Taizhou, which is the transformed Old Cool House. The old grain store, formerly known as Shamen's old grain depot, was built in the 1950s. In modern times, the dilapidated 18 grain depot and the factory buildings around the letter file were demolished and transformed into Taizhou's iconic cultural and creative park, which is a must-see place for many tourists when they come to Jiaojiang.
5. Haimen Old Street
Jiaojiang used to be called Haimen. Most of the existing buildings in Haimen Old Street were built in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. Now it is more than 200 meters long, north-south, paved with bluestone slabs. There are many buildings imitating the Ming and Qing Dynasties along the street in Tambu. This old street has a history of more than 400 years, and now it is as old as before, leaving some thoughts for Jiaojiang people.
