Why is domestic tourism so depressed in recent years?

During the New Year's Day, I started from Dali, Yunnan, along the Yunnan-Tibet line journey to the south of National Highway 2 14, passed Feilai Temple in Lijiang, Shangri-La and Deqin, and finally arrived at Yubeng Village in Meili Snow Mountain. Chatting with the chartered master, the hotel owner and the restaurant brother along the way, they all told me the same message: there are few tourists recently.

Accompanied by a heavy sigh when talking, the long memory of poor business in the past three years has instantly become a depression in the corners of the mouth of tourism practitioners in the cold wind under the snow-capped mountains.

The snow house in Yubeng Village of Meili Snow Mountain can be sold for 2000-3000 yuan a night in the peak season. However, on New Year's Day, I made a reservation online and only spent 100 yuan.

When a person was going back to Deqin after swimming in Yubeng Village, Xidang Hot Spring at the foot of Yubeng Village didn't carpool. I sat alone in the car of the carpool driver and waited for nearly an hour. During the period, the driver constantly recruited passengers to carpool. But there is no way to fight, there are no individual guests at all. Other tourists are chartered groups.

An hour passed and I couldn't get a taxi. I talked with the driver about the lowest price of chartered car, and 80 yuan went from Xidang Hot Spring to Deqin. The market price of the chartered car from Xidan Hot Spring to Deqin is 160 yuan, while the price of the chartered car in 80 yuan is 40km, 80km round trip, so the driver can't make much money.

At first, I didn't quite agree. I don't think the price is worthless, and I don't want to squeeze the driver's hard work. I just think it's a waste to charter a car by one person, and I want to wait for two people to take a taxi before leaving. However, I went down to look at the empty entrance of the scenic spot and immediately gave up the idea. Finally, because I couldn't find anyone to carpool, I chartered a car back to Deqin in luxury.

Yubeng Village of Meili Snow Mountain is one of the most famous scenic spots on Yunnan-Tibet Railway and even Yunnan, and countless outdoor trekkers come here. However, even in such scenic spots, there are still few people during New Year's Day. It is conceivable how depressed the domestic tourism market is at present.

There are three reasons for this result: first, the wind has just come, and many people are on the sidelines, wanting to wait until they feel completely safe before going out to travel; Second, many people are yang, and people either rest at home behind closed doors or stay indoors for fear of being infected by others; Third, after these three years, everyone's pockets are no longer bulging, and there is no money to travel and spend.
