Kaifeng belongs to Henan province.

Kaifeng, referred to as Bianzhou, Bianliang and Bianjing for short, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province and one of the central cities in the central area of China Central Plains urban agglomeration approved by the State Council, with a total area of 6,266 square kilometers. Each passenger station in Kaifeng has fixed operating lines with Henan province and abroad, and there are sleeper buses that are regularly sent to Beijing.

Among them, the Zhengzhou-Kaifeng intercity bus departing from Kaifeng Passenger Station, West Railway Station, Suoguo Station and Jin Ming Station runs every 10 minute, which is more convenient and quick to travel between Kaifeng and Zhengzhou. Longhai Railway in the eastern part of Eurasia Continental Bridge runs through Kaifeng, passing through Kaifeng Station and Lankao Station.

Kaifeng Station is 85km away from Zhengzhou Station and 49 km away from Shangqiu Station/KLOC-0. The Beijing-Guangzhou and Beijing-Kowloon railways can reach all parts of the country from here. The Zhengzhou-Xuzhou high-speed railway parallel to Longhai Railway has Kaifeng North Station and Lankao South Station in Kaifeng.
