Tiguan 1.4T, how about self-driving travel?
The Tiguan 1.4T SUV is good for self-driving tours in some tourist cities and scenic spots with good road conditions. If you like to travel to plateaus by car and often go to places above 4,000 meters above sea level, it is not recommended to choose the 1.4T Tiguan.
For example, on uphill and curved sections above 4,000 meters above sea level, it is difficult for a 1.4T car to overtake, so you have to drive slowly.
If you travel to the plateau by car, you may not be able to drive up some gravel roads and uphill sections above an altitude of 4,000 meters. For example, during the National Day in 2016, when I drove to Zimei Pass to view Gongga Snow Mountain, it was a gravel road. The altitude of the road pass was 4,558 meters. When I was approaching the uphill road to the pass (about 4,300 meters above sea level), there was Some tall SUVs cannot reach the pass, or only the driver drives slowly to the pass.
Note: I often travel to plateaus by car, and I often go to places above 4,000 meters above sea level. For example, during the National Day in 2017, when my husband and I traveled to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau by car, we stayed at an altitude of 4,200 meters or above for three consecutive days.
The Tibetan antelopes I took photos of with my mobile phone are still very afraid of people:
