Main activities of the World Tourism Organization

Responsible for formulating international tourism conventions and rules, studying global tourism policies, collecting and analyzing tourism data, and providing statistical information to member countries regularly. Provide assistance to national tourism plans, including strategic planning of tourism development, material and technical support for cadres, formulation and implementation of tourism plans, vocational training and cadre training. Promote the development of tourism education in member countries. Solve the safety guarantee related to tourists and tourism projects. Simplify the procedures related to tourism, travel and visit, and promote political and economic integration and international humanities cooperation. Help establish tourism management institutions of governments at all levels and give full play to the functions and roles of the government. Promote the development of tourism electronic technology and collect and disseminate tourism statistical data. Celebrate world tourism day's popularization of tourism concept to the whole world on September 27th every year, and launch a theme slogan of world tourism day every year.
