History and Culture of Hukou Town

Hukou is located in the southeast of the county seat, close to the Yunlu mountain area of Wanyang Mountain and backed by Gaby Peak. Jingjiang River flows through it, forming three natural areas, namely mountain area, riverside area and Xixiang area, with a total area of 17 1. 125 square kilometers, forming a pattern of eight mountains, half water and half fields. Hukou first formed a market town in Ming Dynasty, which is the largest rural market town in the southeast of Anren, Yanling, Jiangxi Ninggang and Chaling County. Hukou is the old revolutionary base area. 1927, 1927 On February 27th, President Mao Zedong rushed to Hukou to hold a meeting and executed Hao Chen, the leader who tried to defect to the enemy, thus setting the right course for the revolution and saving the young Chinese Red Army. It was called "light blue hukou" in history. In March 1950, the Baojia system left over from the old society was abolished, and in May 1956, the area was withdrawn and merged. 1984 People's Commune was changed to Hukou Township People's Government, and 1985 was changed to an established town, from which it embarked on the road of building Socialism with Chinese characteristics.
