What makes travelers from all over the world flock to this humble town in Siem Reap is Angkor Wat, which is listed as one of the seven wonders of the world. Siem Reap is the only and important stopover for visiting the Angkor monuments and has a history of hundreds of years. Siem Reap has also become a famous tourist city. It is obviously richer and more prosperous than the capital Phnom Penh. In Phnom Penh, there were no department stores or supermarkets for a few days, and it was difficult to find bakeries (perhaps because there are none nearby), but in Siem Reap we found this Now that I have everything, I feel a lot more convenient.

The area around the Old Market is the busiest place in Siem Reap and the center of activities for Siem Reap citizens and tourists. Basically, local delicious shops, good hotels, and high-end consumption (according to local living standards) are all nearby here. The products here are very rich, including daily necessities and various snacks. The price of goods is much higher than that in Phnom Penh. I heard that vendors quote tourists five times more than locals, so try to bargain as much as possible.

The same thing is more expensive than in Phnom Penh, so try to bargain as much as possible. We basically just watch it and don’t pay easily.

After walking around, I saw that it was getting late and I was hungry, so I was ready to find a place to have dinner. After riding in the car all day, I didn’t eat much at noon, so I was waiting for delicious food in the evening. There are many restaurants of all kinds here, unlike in Phnom Penh, where you won’t be able to find a place to eat late.

When doing research before coming here, many people recommended the food of Khmer Kitchen Restaurant. We happened to meet it and decided to have dinner here.

Because of the language barrier, I can only order food by looking at the pictures.

After dividing, the remaining rice in the big bowl looked at the serving girl and took it away again.

Later, at my request, I added another spoonful of rice. You have to eat enough when you go out and don’t lose weight!

After walking around the old market, I found a temple. Like many Buddhist places, temple buildings are always the most beautiful. Walking around the temple grounds, you walked into a room where a monk was giving lectures on Buddhist scriptures and practices to the citizens. They turned a blind eye to our arrival and did not drive us away. They watched quietly and took a few photos with their mobile phones.

I also saw a group of sculptures like this in the yard, with some bloody scenes. There must be a story behind them. I saw a local tour guide explaining something to two foreign tourists, and I went to listen to it. Unfortunately, he was speaking in English, and the listening failed.
