Travel diary for May 2022

2022-5-8 (Day 1)

Departed from Guangzhou Yuling Villa at 6:30 this morning. It rained all the time. We rested three times along the way and arrived at 14:30. Guilin, it took 8 hours and checked into Vienna International Hotel. In the afternoon, we visited Li Zongren’s former residence and the Sun and Moon Twin Towers, then went shopping and ate Guilin rice noodles. (Refueling on the way costs 400 yuan)

2022-5-9 (Day 2)

Departing from Guilin at 8:20 this morning. To reach Guizhou, take the Xiarong Expressway and Jianrong Expressway. Guizhou's highways are mainly composed of tunnels and bridges, all of which are built between mountain tops and ravines and are very steep. It rained all the way, and we walked through clouds and rain curtains, or walked slowly in tunnels. The scenery on the mountain is beautiful, but most of the time it is cloudy and rainy, so visibility is low and driving is slow. 16:10 Arrive at the highway exit. Here we took the first nucleic acid test after entering Guizhou. It was done by Zhenyuan County People's Hospital and cost 8 yuan per person. Arrive at Zhenyuan Ancient City (Zhenyuan County) under the jurisdiction of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture at 16:30, and then check into the Sun and Moon International Hotel. 17:30-20:30, visit the ancient city, have dinner, and take a night cruise to enjoy the night view of the ancient city. The rain stopped in the evening and it got dark late here. We strolled around the ancient city and felt very good. (Refueling on the way costs 290 yuan)

2022-5-10 (Day 3)

Go out at 8:00 in the morning and take a taxi to visit the famous Qinglong Cave in Zhenyuan Ancient City. Tickets are 60 yuan per person, but seniors over 60 years old are free, so we swiped our ID cards to enter and enjoyed the attraction’s preferential treatment for the elderly for the first time. Qinglong Cave is a small temple built on steep stone walls. It contains three religions: Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. You will find a place of Buddhism upon entering. In fact, there is only a shallow cave and a pavilion. The main buildings of the temple are all Taoist buildings, and Confucianists only occupy a small pavilion. It can be seen that Taoism was the mainstream and most prosperous in Zhenyuan Ancient Town. This temple is built on the edge of a cliff and is very small due to geographical constraints. When we entered, we asked the staff how long it would take to complete the visit, and she said 50 minutes. During this time of our visit, we were the only two old people and no other guests were seen. When we walked out of Qinglong Cave and looked at the clock, it was exactly 50 minutes. The geographical environment of Zhenyuan Ancient City is described as two mountains sandwiching a river, and the ancient city was built along the river. The environment here is quiet, the air is fresh, the climate is cool, but there are few tourists. We admired the scenery while walking, recalling the past and thinking about the present, and also entertained ourselves. It was only 10:30 when we took a taxi back to the hotel, so we slept again and got up to check out at 11:45.

Set off by car at 12:00. The main sections along the Rong Expressway and Jiang-Guizhou Expressway that we drove today are all built on the ground. There are also some bridges and tunnels, reflecting that the landforms on this section of the road are different from those we drove yesterday. completely different. It didn't rain today, but there were still thin dark clouds in the sky, and occasionally a ray of sunshine peeked out from the clouds. The asphalt was dry and clean, and at one point the speed limit was 110 km/h. On a rare opportunity, I accelerated to 130 km/h to enjoy a short burst of speed. 14:30 We arrived at the exit of Jiangkou County. Here we asked for a second nucleic acid test. Because it was done by the Jiangkou County Center for Disease Control and Prevention, it was free. Then we drove to the scenic spot, checked in at the entrance of the scenic spot and checked into Foguang Hotel at 15:58.

2022-5-11 (Day 4)

Hongyan wanted to climb Fanjing Mountain. We checked into a hotel about 300 meters away from the entrance of the scenic spot yesterday afternoon. Drive to the parking lot of the scenic spot at 8:30, go through epidemic prevention inspection, and enter at 8:50. It took 20 minutes for the battery car to take us to the cable car station, and then we transferred to the ascending cable car and walked slowly for 40 minutes to the mountain. At 10:00 we started walking to the top of the mountain. It was drizzling in the sky, so we didn’t need to hold an umbrella, but after we reached the top of the mountain, it started to rain lightly. The Mushroom Rock scenic spot located on the mountain peak was windy and foggy, and nothing could be seen. After taking a few random photos, we started descending. We found a resting point in the wind and rain and ate the dry food we had brought. After resting for a while, we continued to hold an umbrella in the clouds to find the most important scenic spot - the Red Cloud Golden Summit.

When we arrived at the foot of Hongyun Jinding, the wind and rain suddenly increased and it felt very cold. Hongyan insisted on climbing Hongyun Golden Summit, bought a raincoat, put it on and walked up bravely. At this time, the wind was biting, the raindrops were beating, and my hands were already a bit frozen. The Hongyun Golden Dome was surrounded by thick fog. The wind and rain made it impossible to see the shape of the Red Cloud Golden Dome. Hongyan held the iron chain in front and climbed up the stone steps with her feet, while I followed behind to protect her. We have almost reached more than two-thirds of the Red Cloud Golden Summit. The last remaining section of the stone staircase is almost at a 90-degree angle. For safety reasons, I will not let Hongyan climb up any further. Climbing this vertical stone staircase is usually very dangerous, not to mention the wind and rain today. My hands are frozen and unable to hold the iron chain firmly. If I slip, the consequences will be disastrous. I firmly asked Hongyan to stop climbing.

We walked up and down the mountain for *** 3 hours, but we didn’t see clearly the true appearance of the mushroom rocks and the red cloud golden dome. We didn’t see the green mountains and cypresses, we didn’t see the flowers, birds and other wild animals. We only saw The fog and rain made me feel the cold wind on the mountain peaks in early summer, which was intimidating.

At 13:10 we took the return cable car and battery car, and returned to the entrance of the scenic spot at 14:40. 14:55 We drove to Tongren City, arrived at 16:20, and checked into Tongren Huaguoshan Rongxin Hotel.

2022-5-12 (Day 5)

Today’s itinerary was originally not tight, but last night Hongyan discovered that there was an ancient city of Tongren near the hotel. She seemed to have encountered it. It was a must-see attraction, so I added it to the list. We drove out of the hotel at 9:30 and arrived at the underground parking lot of the ancient city in a few minutes. 9:40-10:20 It only took 40 minutes to visit Tongren Ancient City. Then go to Tongren Grand Canyon and arrive at the scenic parking lot at 11:25. Tickets to the scenic spots are 138 yuan/each, but senior citizens only pay half price at 70 yuan/each, which saves us another 136 yuan. 11:40-13:00 We watched the mountain scenery, listened to the sound of waves, and breathed the fresh air of the virgin forest in the Grand Canyon. We walked and walked, which was very relaxing. Hongyan was afraid that her legs and feet would be overworked and didn’t want to walk up and down any more, so we only walked a while and then returned.

The scenic parking lot is also located in the canyon, and there are only a few cars parked, and there is no parking fee. We opened the car window in the parking lot and took a lunch break. I rested for 70 minutes and drove to Fenghuang Ancient City (Fenghuang County) in western Hunan at 14:20. Soon after getting on the expressway, we entered Hunan Province and arrived at the Phoenix Toll Station at 15:15. We did our first nucleic acid test here when entering Hunan. It cost 8 yuan per person, which was very convenient (like it). (Nucleic acid testing is available at all highway exits we pass, but Guangzhou Tonghe Toll Station does not provide nucleic acid testing. I don’t know why).

16:00 We checked into the Phoenix International Hotel in Fenghuang County. 17:00-19:50 We visit Fenghuang Ancient City. Fenghuang Ancient City is very beautiful, the night view is beautiful, the stone pavement is very clean, and it is very well managed. It is worth a visit. We looked at the scenery and asked for directions, and finally walked to the riverside. This river is called Tuojiang. In fact, it is a tributary of the Tuojiang River originating from Sichuan Province and was also an ancient channel for tank transportation. Fenghuang Ancient City is built along the mountains on both sides of the Tuojiang River. Its east gate, which I just saw, was built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty and has a relatively long history. It can be said that the Tuojiang River and shipping created the ancient city of Phoenix. We walked and watched the scenery by the river, sat down to rest in a riverside restaurant, and ate the local specialties of stone pot fish and blood duck.

2022-5-13 (Day 6)

Left Fenghuang Ancient City at 9:15 am, arrived at the Furong Town exit of the expressway at 10:50, and took a nucleic acid test (free). Then head to Furong Town. 11:30-12:50 We visited Furong Town in just 80 minutes. The movie "Furong Town" in the 1980s was filmed here, starring Liu Xiaoqing. Nowadays, there are many "Liu Xiaoqing Rice Tofu Shops" opened in Furong Town. Hongyan insisted on going to the restaurant where the movie was shot to taste it. She used her mobile phone to navigate and quickly found Liu Xiaoqing's rice tofu shop where the movie was shot. We ate the salted rice tofu here, but it didn't taste good. Just understand and feel it.

13:00-14:00 Take a nap in the car. 14:00 Drive to Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area in Yongding District, Zhangjiajie City.

According to Baidu Navigation, the 82 kilometers from Furong Town to Tianmen Mountain takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. However, since more than 30 kilometers are national highways, driving is slow. We arrived at the Zhangjiajie West Exit at 16:00, which took exactly 2 hours. Here I was asked to take a nucleic acid test again (free of charge), and I took the sample twice today. 16:50 Check into the Hampton Inn by Hilton, because it is only 200 meters away from the mountain cableway. For the convenience of tomorrow, Hongyan specially chose to stay here.

After taking a rest, we walked around the hotel. We saw apricots and loquats displayed by street vendors that were large, brightly colored and very beautiful. When we asked about the prices, they were all 15 yuan per catty, so we mixed them and bought more than 3 catties. I tasted them later, and they were indeed delicious. Then we had dinner at a relatively clean restaurant next to the hotel.

It is worth mentioning that tickets for the elderly to visit scenic spots are half price. In Furong Town in the morning, tickets are 128 yuan/person, but senior citizens are 60 yuan/person, saving 136 yuan for two people. In the evening, we had dinner in Zhangjiajie. We had fried yellow-bone fish in a dry pot (78 yuan, a lot of portion), stir-fried lettuce and radish, which cost 126 yuan. The ticket money saved in the morning was enough for dinner.

I just went down to the laundry room on the third floor to put the clothes from the washing machine into the dryer. The waiter came in and said that they could deliver the clothes to the room tomorrow and asked me to write down the name on the note. Just the room number and time. The service at Hampton by Hilton is really good. (It costs 400 yuan to refuel on the way)

Attachment: On the afternoon of May 13, I arrived at the Zhangjiajie toll station. After passing the station, there was a wide road that split into two roads far ahead. I drove forward and saw a car parked in the middle of the road. Thinking that he couldn't find the road like me, I stopped to check the map. I drove past it calmly. At this time, Wang Hongyan said that there was a white horizontal line on the ground. The parked car had a local license plate and was waiting for the red light. She said that I hit the red light. I looked back and saw a row of camera lights staring at me from behind, but there were no traffic lights visible behind me. There are two rows of traffic lights at the fork in the road far ahead. After what Wang Hongyan said, I was convinced that I had hit a red light, so I had to stop in the middle of the road and wait until the green light turned on far ahead before driving over. I can only sigh that Zhangjiajie is very grand. Not only are the roads wide, but the traffic lights are located far ahead. Later, I checked traffic control number 12123 every day to see if anyone had been photographed. It has been 12 days until today and there is still no violation notice. It seems that the heavy rain in Zhangjiajie damaged the camera. (May 25)

2022-5-14 (Day 7)

Today’s trip is to visit the Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area. At 8:45, we left the hotel and walked to the cableway station. At 9:10, we started taking the cableway up the mountain. It started to rain lightly and became foggy on the way. The fog gets worse as we go up, and we reach the top of the mountain at 9:50. The mountains were filled with thick fog, windy and rainy, and very cold. We bought raincoats and shoe covers on the spot and put them on to prevent rain and keep warm. How to do it? The mountain is divided into two routes: east and west. We followed Hongyan’s plan and took the western route. The road on the mountain is well built and not too steep, but it is very difficult to walk due to heavy wind and rain. I was only wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt and a thin jacket, and I felt my chest and back were cold. My trousers were completely wet, and it was biting cold on my calves. Fortunately, I had a backpack and a raincoat to protect my back, otherwise I would have frozen. Hongyan wore a very thick top, and although her calves were wet, her feet were protected by shoe covers and had not gotten wet. At the rest point at noon, we stopped and wanted to eat something, but after taking off the raincoat, we felt unbearably cold. We ate a few peanuts and quickly put on the raincoat and continued walking. It was not so cold when we walked. After walking on the Western Front for 3 hours, I could see nothing but rain, fog and stone walls. In previous years, May was sunny and the weather was pleasant, making it a good time to travel. However, this year's weather was abnormal, with rain and heavy rain alternating, which also prevented us from enjoying the beautiful scenery of Tianmen Mountain today.

We walked around in the wind and rain, overcame the cold and hunger, and finally found the entrance to the mountain escalator. The escalator in Tianmen Mountain may be the best in China. It is divided into seven upper sections (to Tianmen Cave), five lower sections (to the observation deck) and 12 sections. Tourists must take this escalator to go down to Tianmen Cave. This is The most famous and important attraction in Tianmen Mountain. We rode the escalator for thirty minutes and arrived at the Tianmen Cave Observation Deck at 13:02.

It was still windy and rainy at this time. We hurriedly took a few photos at the observation deck and were about to leave. Suddenly the wind and rain became lighter, and Tianmen Cave revealed its true appearance. We took the time to take some more photos. Fortunately, she could clearly see the Tianmen Cave in the rain and fog, and Hongyan felt that the trip was worth it. To be honest, if it doesn’t rain, the scenery of Tianmen Mountain and Tianmen Cave is really beautiful and desirable. In fact, there were many tourists today. They accompanied us, and we accompanied them to watch the fog, get wet in the rain, and pursue the dreamy scenery of Tianmen Cave.

Due to the rain, our stay at Tianmen Cave was too short. After about ten minutes, we started to take the escalator back to the top of the mountain. 14:20 We arrived at the cableway station. I saw that the temperature in Yongding District, Zhangjiajie City was 7 degrees. I asked the staff how many degrees it was on the mountain. She said it was 8 degrees lower than in the city. While going down, I looked at my phone and the temperature gradually showed 13, 14 , to the ground is 15. 15:02 We return to the cableway ground station. Last night, Hongyan planned to drive another 2 hours to Changde City after coming down from the mountain today, so we checked out of the hotel in the morning, but the car could be parked until 6 pm. However, she was in good spirits and full of interest on the mountain, but she still felt tired after coming down the mountain and didn't want to leave again. So we stayed back in room 1015 of the Hampton Inn Hilton.

Tickets for Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area (including cableway and escalator tickets) are 275 yuan/person, senior citizens are 144 yuan/person, two people save 262 yuan***. Tonight we ordered fried Tujia bacon with garlic moss (68 yuan), pan-fried Golden Whip Creek fish (48 yuan), and winter melon and pork ribs soup (32 yuan) at the Tujia restaurant next to the hotel. It cost 153 yuan with cutlery and paper towels. The senior citizen saved enough money on admission to pay for dinner.

2022-5-15 (Day 8)

Leave Zhangjiajie Yongding District at 10:00 am, arrive at the expressway exit of Taohuayuan Town, Changde City at 12:20, and do the work here Free nucleic acid testing. 12:45 Check into 3 good hotels in Vienna. After lunch break, get up at 14:30 to visit the famous Peach Blossom Spring scenic spot.

In ancient times, there was "The Story of Peach Blossom Spring", but now there is the Peach Blossom Spring Scenic Area. Tao Yuanming was a writer in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. His "Peach Blossom Spring" is actually a classical novel. Through the description of the pastoral life of the people in Peach Blossom Spring, it reflects his dissatisfaction with the current government and his sympathy for the common people. He pinned the people's happy lifestyle in his beautiful imagination, which led to "Peach Blossom Spring" and the "Xanadu" that people often call it now.

The Peach Blossom Spring Scenic Area Line 2 we took today is a replica of "Peach Blossom Spring". Line 2 mainly visits Qinxi and Qingu.

"In the Taiyuan Dynasty of the Jin Dynasty, the people of Wuling were engaged in fishing. They walked along the stream and forgot the distance of the road." The time, place and people are derived here. Today's Qinxi and Qingu originated from this, because Tao Yuanming described the people living here as ancient Qin people. The shuttle bus in the scenic area took us along Qinxi River. The stone pavement was neat and clean. On the left side of the road were green mountains and green trees, and on the right side was a clear water stream. There are oases in the stream, full of peach trees, with pink and bright peach blossoms covering the branches. The driver told us that those peach blossoms were fake, artificial flowers set up for the scenery. "Suddenly we came across a peach blossom forest, hundreds of steps along the bank. There were no trees in the middle, the grass was delicious, and the fallen flowers were colorful." We are looking for poetry in the beautiful scenery described by Tao Yuanming.

When we arrived at the entrance of Qingu scenic spot, the driver dropped us off and explained the precautions for riding. Then we started looking for scenery.

"When the forest reaches the water source, there is a mountain. There is a small opening in the mountain, as if there is light." We went up a few stone steps to the left and saw a cave entrance, because Hongyan and I had both read " "Peach Blossom Spring", so we boldly walked into the cave. "We left the boat and entered through the entrance. It was very narrow at first, and only then could we reach people. After walking dozens of steps, we suddenly became enlightened." After walking dozens of steps in the cave, we passed through this narrow cave that was "only accessible to people." However, it was a different scene when we came out: "The land is flat and the houses are neat, with fertile fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry and bamboo. There is traffic on every road, and chickens and dogs hear each other." It was drizzling in the sky, and we slowly walked along the sightseeing route. When walking around, we did see people working in the fields, just like "there are people going and planting in the fields, and the men and women are dressed like outsiders." However, today we are not as lucky as the Wuling fishermen in the text.

"When I saw the fisherman, I was shocked. I asked where I had come from. I wanted to give him an answer. I wanted to return home and set up a wine shop to kill chickens for food. I heard about this man in the village and came to ask for information." We still went our own way and didn't The people of Qin came to inquire. When we arrived at the sightseeing station, we took the bus to Line 1 and quickly visited the "Yuanming Temple" in the "Peach Blossom Spring" scenic spot. We saw a profile of Tao Yuanming engraved on the wall inside the temple. Due to time constraints, we had to take the shuttle bus back to the entrance of the scenic spot on time.

From the late Qin Dynasty to the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there was an interval of more than 550 years. Tao Yuanming designed the people living in Peach Blossom Spring as Qin people, hoping that people could live in a quiet pastoral world without wars or dynasty changes, which is an idealistic lifestyle. "Ziyun's ancestors escaped from the chaos of the Qin Dynasty and brought his wife to this beautiful scenery. He never came back, so he was separated from outsiders." The people of Taohuayuan have lived an isolated farming life here for a long time, and there is no shortage of chicken and wine. Food, live simply and abundantly. "When you ask what age it is now, you don't know that there was Han, regardless of Wei and Jin." The Han Dynasty was a prosperous age in the history of the Chinese nation, and it existed for 407 years. The people of Qin in the Peach Blossom Spring didn't know it, let alone the short 46 years. Wei Dynasty and the Eastern Jin Dynasty at that time. Tao Yuanming wrote this, obviously hoping that people would live in a paradise without famine or war and escape from reality.

2022-5-16 (Day 9)

Leave Taoyuan County at 9:00 am, drive along the Hangrui Expressway, and arrive at the Junshan District exit of Yueyang City at 11:40. I took a nucleic acid test here and continued driving to the city. Hongyan was working in the city at noon, so we had Chinese food nearby and checked into the Vienna Hotel Nanhu Lakeside Avenue Branch at 14:30. After lunch break, I got up at 15:30 and drove straight to the Yueyang Tower Scenic Area.

Yueyang Tower is one of the four famous buildings in my country and was first built in the Tang Dynasty. There are five Yueyang Tower models in the scenic area, which were built in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties respectively. Although there are differences in shape and structure, they are roughly the same. It also shows that Yueyang Tower has been damaged and rebuilt repeatedly, and has gone through the vicissitudes of history. The existing Yueyang Tower was left over from the Qing Dynasty. After active protection and repair, it has regained its charm.

Yueyang Tower is a three-story pavilion-style building with a wooden structure as its main body. The walls, doors, windows and columns are all colored vermilion, and the facade is inlaid with golden patterns, making it look solemn and brilliant. The roof of the building is covered with yellow glazed tiles, and the tile rafters still have the warped corners of Chinese classical architecture, which is very distinctive.

Yueyang Tower faces east to west, overlooking Dongting Lake. The afternoon sunshine is facing the Yueyang Tower. The sun is shining brightly today and there are no clouds in the sky. The entire pavilion shines brightly in the sunlight, with its vermilion walls shining in red. The yellow glazed tiles glow with golden light and are dazzling. From an architectural perspective, Yueyang Tower can be regarded as an ancient architectural treasure that has been handed down to this day. Entering the building, Fan Zhongyan's "Yueyang Tower" is engraved on the front walls of the first and second floors, and Du Fu's "Ascent of Yueyang Tower" written by Mao Zedong is engraved on the front wall of the third floor. Standing on the Yueyang Tower and looking at Dongting Lake, I saw that the lake surface was rippled by the breeze, the sun shone on the lake surface, and the sky and water were the same color in the distance, with no edges visible.

However, the significance of Yueyang Tower goes far beyond being a famous building, but that it has become a place for the spread of Chinese culture. Throughout the ages, its charm has attracted countless tourists to stop here, and tempted countless literary masters to leave their treasures here. The most famous one is "The Story of Yueyang Tower" written by Fan Zhongyan, a writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. Some of the idioms and classic sentences we often use now come from "The Story of Yueyang Tower". For example, "all wastes are prospering", "a vast soup", "morning light and evening clouds", "various weather conditions", "spring and bright scenery", "calm and calm". There are even more famous poems in the world: "The long smoke is gone, and the bright moon is thousands of miles away", "The floating light leaps into the gold, and the quiet shadow sinks into the jade", "The heart is relaxed and happy, and the favor and disgrace are forgotten together." There is also a well-known saying that "worry before the world is worried, and rejoice after the world is happy." Fan Zhongyan's "Yueyang Tower" must be a beautiful chapter of Chinese culture.

Visiting Yueyang Tower has become a historical tour and a cultural tour.

2022-5-17 (Day 10)

Departed from Yueyang Lou District, Yueyang City at 9:00 am and arrived at the highway intersection of Anding Town, Pingjiang County at 11:35. The staff here checked that we had 24-hour nucleic acid negative results and released us without requiring us to do a nucleic acid test on the spot. We told him that we were only here to visit Du Fu’s tomb and not stop in Pingjiang County. He gave us the driving direction too gently. 11:40 We arrived at Du Fu’s Tomb. Du Fu's Tomb is very small and can be visited in about 40 minutes.

We took some precious information photos in the tomb temple for later study and digestion.

After lunch break at 14:00, we drove south and arrived at the Zhuzhou Toll Station of Changzhou-Zhuzhou Expressway at 15:40. I did a free nucleic acid test here and continued into Zhuzhou city. 16:30 Check in to Vienna Hotel High Speed ??Railway Station. In the evening, we walked around the hotel and ate local specialties. (Refueling on the way costs 530 yuan)

2022-5-18 (Day 11)

Departed from Zhuzhou City at 9:00 am and arrived at Nanyue Hengshan Scenic Area at 11:00. Buy your own ticket to enter the scenic area, take a station wagon up the mountain at 11:35, and arrive at the Nantianmen Scenic Area at 12:10. Then you need to walk from here to Zhurong Peak, the top of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain, which is about 3.5 kilometers away. We walked for a while and came to a sign that said "Walking Hiking". The stone staircase was very steep. Hongyan was afraid of the difficulty and did not want to go to the top again. They had been here before. In winter, they took a car to the top to view the snow scenery. Today, the temperature in Nanyue District is 18 and the sun is shining, which is very suitable for climbing. There is still 3 kilometers to go, but she is deterred and has completely lost the spirit of climbing in the wind and rain like she did in Fanjing Mountain and Tianmen Mountain.

I have never been to Nanyue Hengshan Mountain before. The weather is very good today and it is a rare opportunity. I decided to climb to the top of the mountain alone. 12:20 Let’s start with the hiking trail. I’m so tired that I’m out of breath and the muscles in my legs are tight. Fortunately, there is only a section of walking path, and then it merges into the driving lane. When going up the mountain, I watched and took photos at every scenic spot. It took 70 minutes to reach the top, Zhurong Peak. On the way, I saw "Shangfeng Temple". From the couplets on the archway, I knew it was a "Taoist" temple. I didn't go in. The highest point is Zhurong Peak, 1,300 meters above sea level. Here is the "Zhurong Hall", a Buddhist temple. The incense in Hengshan is strong, and there is an endless stream of people coming to worship Buddha. Along the way, I saw that most people were carrying lots of incense candles. Hongyan and I didn't buy any, and we saw a few people didn't take any incense candles. There were several teams of students who went to the mountain for military training. The children laughed and worked tirelessly.

I also went into the "Zhurong Hall" and had a look. People were kneeling or standing in worship with incense and candles. Then they took the incense and candles out of the hall and threw them into the large cement furnace on the left. Burning is considered as "worshiping" or "burning". I am a doctor, I understand physiology and medicine, and I know the true meaning of people and life. On the other hand, I have systematically studied Marxist philosophy in middle school and college and learned relatively well, so I do not believe in any religion. Our country's constitution is very liberal. It states that "Chinese citizens have the freedom to believe in religion and the freedom not to believe in religion." Furthermore, Mr. Lu Xun, whom I admire most, does not believe in religion. He screamed at that time when the Chinese nation was still in a state of numbness, exposing the ignorance of eating steamed buns with human blood, and wanted to awaken the Chinese people. I believe in self-struggle, national rejuvenation, and strength.

I stayed at the top of the mountain for half an hour, watching the scenery and taking photos, and then started going down the mountain. I took the road for the entire 3-kilometer journey back and took tangents around corners. The road slopes in Hengshan are steep and curved, so taking tangent lines will reduce some length. This is common sense learned in middle school geometry and should be used accordingly. I was back at the start of the climb in just 22 minutes. It took exactly 2 hours to go up and down the top of the mountain. I met Hongyan and then walked back to Nantianmen. We took the bus down the mountain at 14:40 and returned to the scenic exit at 15:10. We ate our own food in the car and rested for 1 hour. Drive to Hengyang City at 16:30 and arrive at Shigu Toll Station at 17:05. After testing the nucleic acid here, we drove into the city in a few minutes. 17:35 Check into Vienna Hotel Huayao City Branch.

Tickets for Nanyue Hengshan Scenic Area are 110 yuan per person, and round-trip tickets within the scenic area are 78 yuan per person (discounted price of 40 yuan). The elderly are half-price, so you can spend 190 yuan and save 186 yuan. Dinner costs 151 yuan for two rais and one soup.

2022-5-19 (Day 12)

Depart Yueyang at 9:00 am and arrive at the Yanling County Expressway Exit of Zhuzhou City at 11:00. During the inspection, we showed a 24-hour nucleic acid negative certificate and explained that we made a special trip to visit the Yandi Mausoleum and did not stop in the county, so we passed without registration or nucleic acid testing.

Arrive at Yandi Mausoleum Scenic Area at 11:15. The adult ticket is 62 yuan, and the sightseeing ticket (round trip) is 20 yuan. We were told that today is May 19, China Tourism Day, and all tourists are free of charge, but sightseeing tickets are not free.

11:20-14:00 We visit and tour the Yandi Mausoleum Scenic Area. During this period, I rested for half an hour next to the tomb of Emperor Yan, and seemed to have fallen asleep.

Drive to Chenzhou City at 14:10 and arrive at Chenzhou South Toll Station at 16:55. We did a paid nucleic acid test here (28 yuan per person, most other places offer free testing, and occasionally charge 8 yuan per person). 17:50 Check into hotel in Vienna.

(Travel to Emperor Yan’s Mausoleum to be continued)

2022-5-20 (Day 13)

Originally planned to visit Emperor Shun’s Mausoleum this morning, due to investigation There was a heavy rain in Ningyuan County, so we canceled the trip and returned directly to Guangzhou. Departed from Chenzhou City at 9:10 am, got on the expressway at 9:30, drove 372 kilometers, took two breaks and refueled (480 yuan) on the way, and arrived at Guangzhou Yuling Villa at 15:30. There are no stops for inspections when passing through the Guangdong provincial border and Guangzhou Tonghe Toll Station. There are free epidemic prevention points for truck drivers to test nucleic acid and antibodies in the highway service areas along the way. Personal experience shows that there are many large trucks and small cars arriving in Guangzhou, which is completely unmatched by Guangxi, Guizhou and Hunan. It can be seen that Guangdong Province has the best economic situation. Because of this, it is impossible to inspect all large and small vehicles entering Guangdong, otherwise there will be huge traffic jams and the economy will not be able to operate normally.

When I arrived at my home in Guangzhou, I heard that Dabao had been sick for a week (he had just recovered from his last illness and got sick again a week ago. I really don’t understand how they are taking care of the baby!!). So I called Lu Yelin to inquire about Dabao's condition and learned that a chest X-ray was taken to diagnose bronchopneumonia. I asked my aunt to prepare Dabao's clothes and supplies immediately. After Dabao returned home from the hospital, I would make some preparations. I left my home in Guangzhou at 17:00 and drove 137 kilometers back to Zhuhai. At 18:30, I ate a KFC burger in the public service area and returned to my home in Zhuhai at 20:30. It was already 21:00 when we arrived at the hospital. Prescription, payment, collection, and injection were started. Dabao started the infusion at 21:40 and finished the infusion at 22:45. Then he went home for atomization treatment. In fact, Xiaobao was also sick, but his symptoms were milder than those of his sister, so he started taking medicine that night.

This trip lasted for 13 days, covering more than 3,200 kilometers, consuming 1,900 yuan in fuel and 1,897.88 yuan in highway tolls. The average fuel cost and expressway toll are 0.593 yuan per kilometer, which means driving 1 kilometer consumes 1.186 yuan.
