Must visit tourist attractions in Qinghai

Qinghai is located in the northwest of China. It has colorful grasslands, mountain lakes and Gobi Yadan. Beautiful scenery is always mesmerizing. What are the must-see attractions when traveling to Qinghai? The following attractions are recommended, let’s go to Qinghai together!

Qilian Mountain Grassland

Qilian Mountain, its representative, the famous Damaying Grassland, is located in the basin between Yanzhi Mountain and Qilian Mountain. In July and August every year, the Qilian Mountains, which are connected to the grasslands, are still covered in snow, while the grasslands are vast expanse of blue waves dotted with horses, cattle and sheep. The gentle breeze will make people feel like a dream.

Shandan Army Horse Farm, the largest ranch in the Far East with flat terrain and rich aquatic plants, is also built here.

The Qilian Mountains are one of the most well-preserved areas in the world, with rich species and beautiful natural scenery.

Zhuoer Mountain

Qilian County is known as the "Little Switzerland of the East". The most beautiful place here is Zhuoer Mountain. Located in Zhuoer Mountain in Babao Town, Qilian County, Qinghai Province, Zhuoer Mountain is called "Zongmuma Glazed Horse" in Tibetan, which means the beautiful rose-colored queen.

It is a branch of the Qilian Mountains of Zhuoer Mountain, presenting hilly and grassland scenery. Its own landform belongs to Danxia landform (called "Zong Mu Ma Liuli Ma" in Tibetan, which means beautiful rose-colored queen). The bare areas on the mountain are covered with dark red sandstone, which is very beautiful when paired with green grassland. Coupled with the forests, rapeseed flowers, villages and county towns on both sides of the mountain, the scenery has a strong sense of hierarchy and is also a favorite among photography enthusiasts.

In addition to its own scenery, Zhuoer Mountain is also an excellent viewing platform. Standing on the top of Zhuoer Mountain, the view is very wide and there is no obstruction around. Opposite is Niuxin Mountain, where you can enjoy all the scenery in all seasons (the snow on the top of the mountain never melts all year round, and there is a green forest at the foot of the mountain). At the foot of the mountain, a Babao River is surrounded by you like a hada, which is a very good photo.

Rape flowers in Menyuan

Menyuan County is located in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It has the largest rape flower base in Qinghai and is also the main oil production area in the northwest region. Unlike in the south, July is the season when rapeseed flowers bloom here every year.

Rape flowers are not uncommon. They are found in many places, but the rapeseed flowers in Menyuan County are completely different from those in the south. Menyuan rape blossoms stretch from Qingshizui in the west to Yulongtan in the east, to Lenglongling on the border with Gansu in the north, and to Daban Mountain in the south, stretching for nearly 100 kilometers. Looking around, the entire rapeseed field is like a golden ocean, stretching as far as the eye can see. Against the backdrop of the blue sky, white clouds and snow-capped mountains on the plateau, there is an overwhelming northwest spirit.

Shui Yadan

The Yadan on the water is like a quiet mirage, and the entire Yadan forest is like an alien planet. The peculiar dune shape, unique geographical features, and changeable desert climate make the title of ghost town even more worthy of its name.

The sky is blue, the water is blue, the soil and forest are strange, and the taste is real. The vast ocean in the desert is beautiful in its blue, swaying with mysterious agility. At this moment, what you see is desolate, vigorous, and profound; it is broad, ethereal, and refined.

Tum Monastery

Tum Monastery is not only the holy place of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism, but also a treasure house of Buddhist culture and art. Its temple architecture, sculptures, Buddha statues, pagodas, and Buddhist scriptures , offerings, ritual utensils, mandalas, and mandalas decorate this famous Buddhist temple with grandeur and profound meaning. Among them, the ancient "Three Wonders of Kumbum Temple" are well-known at home and abroad as a wonder of oriental art.

Chaerhan Salt Lake

Chaerhan Salt Lake, the largest salt lake in China, has its own unique beauty due to the evaporation of water. Qarhan Salt Lake is located in the Qaidam Basin in western Qinghai. It is the largest salt lake in China and one of the most famous inland salt lakes in the world.

It is 750 kilometers away from Xining, and the Qinghai-Tibet Railway passes through it. Salt is extremely abundant here. The surrounding salt lakes are flat and the desert is endless, but the scenery is unique.
