This ancient village in Zhejiang is hidden in the mountains. Surrounded by mountains and streams and beautiful scenery, it has become a water play resort.

There are the famous "Five Mountain Heads" in the southeast of Yinbo, namely Qianjiashan, Wujiashan, Yujiashan, Yuegongshan and Zhishan. There is an ancient village on each of the five mountains. These five ancient villages have a long history and beautiful scenery. However, what is unexpected is that the southernmost Zhishan Ancient Village is not built on the top of the mountain, but on the flat land at the foot of the mountain. Even though this ancient village is built on flat land, it is surrounded by mountains and streams. The scenery is even more beautiful, even more than the other four ancient mountain villages.

Zhishan Ancient Village is located at the foot of Zhishan Ridge, at the junction of Hengxi Town and Tangxi Town, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City. It borders Xiashakeng Village to the west, Yushan Village and Jinshan Village to the north, and Chenpo'ao Village to the south. , arrived at Xinyong Village, Tangxi Town in the east. Zhishan Village is under the jurisdiction of Hengxi Town, but it is closer to Tangxi Town. The best route to visit Zhishan Village is to enter from Tangxi Town.

Starting from Tongjia Village in Tangxi Town and heading into the mountains along the mountain road in front of Xinyong Village, you can see a long and rugged stream. This long stream is called Meixi. There are rugged rocks in the stream, and the clear water flows slowly among the rocks. There is a huge stone by the stream with four big red characters written on it: "Getting Better". As this boulder says, the scenery becomes more and more exciting as you go up the river from here, and Zhishan Ancient Village is the first stop in this beautiful scenery.

Zhishan Ancient Village is built in a valley beside Meixi River, with rolling green mountains on both sides. The Meixi River becomes wide and flat as it flows through Zhishan Village. There are several overflow dams on the stream. Villagers walk down from the pier between the embankments and stand on the overflow dams to wash themselves. The stream here becomes calm and gentle. The slightly rippled surface reflects the figures of the villagers and the lush forests and bamboos on both sides, and is full of human smoke.

Meixi River forms a bend in the northwest of Zhishan Ancient Village. There are two shallow pools in the stream and two stone bridges on the stream. The trees here are lush, and the lush branches and leaves extend diagonally towards the water. The stream flows gently under the shade of the trees, crystal clear, and a few ducks swim and play in the pool. This is a common scenery in Ningbo mountain villages, but every time you see it, you can feel the tranquility and loveliness of the mountain village.

According to records, Zhishan Village has a history of more than 900 years. The long history has allowed Zhishan Village to retain many historical monuments. The more famous ones include Sanjiang Temple, Dragon King Temple, Xianrenjing Longtan, Zhangjiajing, Ancient Maple Tree, etc. Among them, the Sanjiang Temple is located on the bank of the stream, with red walls, black tiles, and upturned eaves, so it is the most eye-catching. During the epidemic, the gate of the Three Generals Temple was locked, and it was impossible to enter the temple to learn more.

However, apart from these historical monuments, the buildings in the village are not very old. Most of them are modern buildings with red bricks and black tiles, and some are even high-rise villas. Most of the red bricks are wrapped in gray walls, which still looks very simple. Most of the young people in the village have moved away from the mountains, and only the old people remain in the village. Therefore, Zhishan Village has now become very quiet, even a little deserted.

However, with dense forests, lush bamboos, beautiful mountains and clear waters, and secluded villages and quiet streams, it is indeed a summer vacation and water play resort. If you bring a tent and camp in and around the village, it will be more pleasant to climb up the mountain in the morning to watch the sunrise or breathe in the fresh mountain air.

It is worth mentioning that, walking up the mountain road next to Meixi from Zhishan Village, you will reach Xiashankeng Village, Shangshankeng Village, Li'ao Village, Wuyao Village and other ancient villages. Meiyin Ancient Road, Fenghuangling Ancient Road, Yandungang Tea Mountain Terraces and Observation Deck, Songshiling Ancient Road and other landscapes are even more beautiful. In addition, Zhishan Village is surrounded by ancient villages or landscapes such as Baiyan Mountain Windmill Highway, Yancun, Tongcun, Chenpo'ao Village, etc. It can be said that it is surrounded by beautiful scenery. These places have different scenery, but they are all worth visiting.
