Travel notes at sea
On the ship, the greatest use of education is to talk about unnecessary trifles with excellent manners. To kill time, people often gather on the deck to chat. The cruise ship traveled very slowly, and it took three days and two nights to reach Fukuoka Port in Japan.
This is my first trip to Japan.
Fukuoka is a small place, but according to my son, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and other small county-level cities in Japan are all similar, with almost the same streets and customs.
It was Saturday when I arrived in Fukuoka, but the street was deserted and seemed quiet. The streets are neat and empty, with occasional pedestrians passing by and few vehicles. I saw one or two Japanese girls wearing Japanese school uniforms that I saw on TV, riding their bikes quickly. Japanese behave in a civilized and polite manner, and can't see ordinary people making noise, spitting, or animals taking the initiative to eat strangers. This phenomenon is not uncommon in large and small cities in China. Japanese-style houses take the second floor as the main style, with neat arrangement and free sitting. Some people have umbrellas at the door for emergencies, and no outsiders take them away. Fukuoka as a whole gives people a quiet and clean feeling.
I have also been to Thailand and seen the Sea of Thailand. The Sea of Japan is different from the Sea of Thailand. The sea of Thailand is light blue, clear and transparent. The sea of Japan is dark and unfathomable. When I set sail late at night, I stood by the fence of the cruise ship and stared at the deep and dark sea because I couldn't sleep. I am reminded of a sentence that Thomas, a master, said to his sister Anne in the famous book Budenpollock by German writer Thomas Mann: Seeing the sea is different from seeing the mountains. The mountains give people the strength to forge ahead and climb, while the sea gives people the feeling of impermanence and sadness.
Looking at the sea, I don't know why an idea suddenly jumped into my mind: if someone jumps off a high cruise ship at this time, no one will know, and it is impossible to save himself and be saved. In a blink of an eye, it will disappear from the dark ocean and life will end. It's that simple. It's that simple. The so-called life is not eternal, but it is really difficult to live and easy to die, as long as you have enough courage.
On the way back, when I met a typhoon, the sea was rough and the cruise ship slowly cut the waves between the peaks and valleys. The hull shook violently, and many people vomited and fainted. As usual, the cast members sang and danced, and the salesgirl kept her face unchanged. As if nothing had happened, they may have lived on the cruise ship for many years, regardless of the risks.
Tourism is now the preference and choice of many citizens, but while watching the scenery, it also suffers from many crimes and risks. So I think tourism should be something between permission and prohibition. For literati, whether depressed or sad, it is the key word and basic expression of literature. People who engage in literature are sentimental, and they feel hurt at the slightest sign of trouble. Chen Jiru, the author of The Story of a Small Window in the Ming Dynasty, said, "The fragrant grass makes visitors appreciate its true interest, while the peach blossom and plum blossom make scholars realize its impermanence." This is the difference between literati and tourists looking at the scenery.
According to today's news report, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot dead in Nara. He was shocked and realized that for ordinary people, eating, drinking and having fun every day, no one knows which comes first, tomorrow or accident.
It's rare to get drunk several times in life. How can you always be unhappy? For the literati, instead of traveling, they just look at the flowers falling in front of bloom's court and travel, with clouds rolling and clouds relaxing. However, whether scholars or laymen, Buddhists say, "Don't worry about Bodhi now." When you let go of your heart, in an instant, your heart will be suddenly enlightened, everything will be bright and bright, and you will become smart and wonderful. Learn to let go of your desires and settle your mood, and you can find a relaxed and happy life anytime and anywhere, warm in summer and live in the present.
