5. Daguan Park
Daguan Park is located by Dianchi Lake, 2 kilometers southwest of Kunming, across the water from Xishan Forest Park. Daguan Park has tourist areas near Huapu and Daguanlou, outside the building, flower garden and cypress garden. The garden is lush with flowers and trees, rockeries, pavilions, small bridges and flowing water, and the scenery is extremely beautiful. The Daguanlou, the most ornamental building in the garden, was built near the water, with a height of three stories. It was built in the reign of Kangxi, and it was named because it faced Dianchi Lake and looked at the western hills from afar. There are three white stone piers in the pool in front of the building, imitating the scenery of the three pools in the West Lake. Crossing the long embankment in front of Caiyun Cliff on the east side of Daguanlou and going south along the embankment, you can see the building outside the building, which is shaped like a boat. The main building of the hull is a two-story mountain-resting classical building, like a giant painting boat, and the bottom floor of the ship can be served with tea. There are many masterpieces of inscriptions and couplets in Daguanlou. The most famous one is the 18-word long couplet made by Sun Ranweng, a famous figure in Qing Dynasty, which is called the first long couplet in ancient and modern times and hangs on both sides of the doorpost on the waterfront side of Daguanlou. During festivals, garden parties are often held here, with a sea of people, and sometimes traditional lantern festivals are held, with many tourists. On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, looking down at the water in front of the Daguanlou looks like the three pools of Hangzhou West Lake printing the moon. Locals call it "Long Lian Yin Yue", which is a good place to enjoy the moon and visit the lake.
