You don’t have to wait until you are 100% ready to start.

Some things in life and work are often forced by the outside world to start before you can give orders.

I have experienced many unprepared incidents, which forced me to make the decision to start immediately, and the facts have proved that there is nothing wrong with not being afraid of things, learning while starting, and solving problems while executing.

I just arrived at my current company in 2013 and was responsible for the training of terminal shopping guides for dealers. I had never been exposed to this industry and was quite afraid of training terminal shopping guides. Even in the eyes of the leaders at the time, as long as Just convey the company's new trends and new product selling points to them. It's not difficult, but in my opinion at the time, it was still very challenging. I think the shopping guides have rich experience in the terminal. As a newcomer in the industry, I am not familiar with the products, so I may make a joke. However, the leader did not listen to my various explanations and immediately booked the first training session in Urumqi, Xinjiang.

Do you know that feeling? You really want to go to this place, but you really don’t want to go there for training.

At that time, I could only bite the bullet and do the courseware and rehearse secretly over and over again. I knew I couldn't escape, so I stopped and prepared. As the training date approached, my leader suddenly informed me that the training was cancelled, but asked me to immediately plan trainings in other cities throughout the year. At this time, I had completed the preparatory part of the courseware and conducted the first training exercise for several shopping guides in Qingdao, and I was no longer so afraid. Therefore, in 2014, the training was fully launched, and several of my colleagues and I rushed to various places to carry out training work.

If I had told my boss and myself at that time that I was not ready yet and should not start now, the opportunity might be gone and I might not be able to complete the preparations in a short time. On the contrary, after each training, based on on-site feedback, we continuously adjust the courseware, handouts and training tools, and the training becomes richer and more in-depth year by year.

If you don’t start, you won’t know that the situation is actually not that bad. If you don’t start, you will always live in fear.

Thinking back to when I just graduated in 2008, the sisters in the dormitory either passed the interview or decided to get a job arranged by their families. I came back from an internship at Galanz Electric Co., Ltd. recommended by my brother and missed a campus job fair. I simply planned to go directly to my target city to find a job. However, at that time, I was still undecided between Beijing and Qingdao. Every day I struggle with the choice of "Go to Beijing? Go to Qingdao? Go to Beijing? Go to Qingdao?" Even while I was squatting on the ground packing my luggage, I hugged my roommate’s lap and cried, what should I do? Where to go?

Another reason for my confusion is that, as a student majoring in tourism management, I only want to work in an advertising company. I didn't dare to take that step because I was afraid of not being professional. No matter which city I go to, it means I have to face the risk and pressure of being rejected.

When I woke up one day, I suddenly felt like I had figured it out and directly ordered a train ticket to Dalian. I decided to take a boat from Dalian to Yantai, and then take a bus from Yantai to Qingdao. This is a route I have planned before going to bed many times. It is low-cost, allows you to experience a variety of transportation options, and allows you to spend a day in Dalian. I checked the recruitment website and learned about the Qingdao Media Job Fair on April 9, 2008, and booked a hotel on Ctrip. I gave myself two days to interview and rent a house. Even if there is no company I like at this job fair, I still have to rent a house within two days so that I can slowly find a job.

I traveled across the ocean and arrived in Qingdao in the early morning of the 8th. I took a taxi alone to find a hotel, checked the route to the job fair, and prepared clothes and resume for the next day.

I fondly remember the sidewalk of the Aucma overpass, walking from one side to the other to catch the bus. I stood on the bridge and watched the traffic on Shandong Road. At that time, Zhang Xinzhe's "Snowy Border" was playing in my headphones. Although I was lonely, I was not helpless, and although I was unknown, I was not at a loss.

(Qingdao’s unique sea drift fog filled the air in that season)

Seven years later, I bought a house and passed that bridge again when I applied for a bank card. As my dad told him about the experience, the two of us stood on the bridge in a daze for five minutes. I took a short video of traffic to commemorate myself who bravely took that step seven years ago.

Maybe I was lucky. On April 9, 2008, I met my first employer and worked as a copywriter. I found my first landlord in Qingdao 2 days later.

If I didn’t start, I would still be that indecisive kid holding my roommate’s lap in the dormitory, so troubled that my face was pimpled;

If I didn’t start, I wouldn’t have known that I had such courage and ability can conquer the world alone;

If you don’t start, you won’t know. Give yourself a chance first, and there are still many curves to save the country.

I am currently preparing a New Year’s lesson for the “Turn of the Year” plan, which originated from my experience reading a book at the airport when I went to Shanghai for a weekend. In fact, when I released the course, I did not complete the courseware or even the course syllabus. It was not until after communicating with Mr. Hou from the workplace power bank that I decided to launch large-class classes simultaneously with the workplace power bank, so that I could release the syllabus for their convenience. So, I’m not that confident, but judging from my experience that I don’t have to wait until I’m 100% ready before starting, I prefer to let the courses that have been released motivate me to seize the time and put what I have learned into words and courseware. This may be the most efficient way.

People will be scared to death by imaginary fears.

The only thing that can save yourself is to start right away.
