Lianyungang is a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province. In ancient times, it was called Iraq, Donghai, Haizhou, Yuzhou and Haining, also known as the port city. Lianyungang is named because it faces the island, is backed by Yuntai Mountain and is a seaport.
