Budapest Travel Notes Budapest Travel Guide

Budapest is the capital of Hungary and a famous city in the world. It is also a very old and typical European city. The scenery here is beautiful, people are very enthusiastic and full of beautiful expectations. Here, I would like to share with you the detailed travel guide of Budapest.

To tell the truth, going to Budapest was completely impulsive.

Famous scenic spots:

Danube River, Szechenyi Chain Bridge, Heroes Square.

Airport:

Budapest Liszt ferenc International Airport

German tutor heard that my school sister and I were going to travel in late summer, and excitedly came to recommend Vienna, Austria, and described it as the capital of young people. My school sister and I hesitated again and again for the simple reason that we had no money.

This week-long trip is entirely at your own expense, so you can save it. Austria, the Netherlands, Britain and other high-consumption areas make us hesitate. Because there are only two girls, my school sister and I, unsafe places like Paris and Rome rule out the choice of team building.

Pick and choose, there are not many places to go. My sister searched Ryanair's app for a long time and suddenly said, "Why don't we go to Budapest?" As soon as an arty man like me heard the name Budapest, he surrendered. "good!" So I booked the hotel and air ticket twice and set off.

Actually, there was an episode. Before departure, my German colleague asked which country to travel to, and I replied, "Hungary". Their expressions are very, um, meaningful.

Later, I learned that "have fun" has positive and negative differences. For Vienna's "Youth Capital", it is positive, and for Budapest's "Youth Capital", it means there is a problem. But these are another story.

The streets of Budapest

Budapest is a twin city, located on both sides of the Danube, with Buda on one side and Perth on the other.

Our hotel is very close to the river, and the famous chain bridge is only a few steps away. Under the bridge is the wide and calm Danube. The Danube always has a feeling of being inseparable from modern dancers, because of the famous Blue Danube.

Although the river here is not blue, and it is not Vienna, this Szechenyi chain bridge is closely related to Vienna.

It is said that in the19th century, a young aristocrat got the news that his father was seriously ill in Vienna, but was prevented from crossing the Danube by ice floes.

By the time the ice floe melted in the spring and he could cross the river to Vienna, his father had died. So he announced that he would build a permanent bridge on the Danube River, which is the origin of Szechenyi Chain Bridge.

From a distance, the bridge is magnificent, but if you look closely, you will find it weather-beaten. Both the blue bridge chain and the lion sculptures at both ends have a heavy sense of history, which is very consistent with Budapest and even Hungary.

Brilliant, but late, dignified, but sad, there may have been a beautiful moment, but that kind of beauty, you can't help but guess, to feel some inexplicable emotion moved by sadness.

Palaces and castles

We crossed the bridge and went to the Buda Palace on the opposite castle hill-of course, it has now been converted into the Hungarian National Art Museum and History Museum. The tone of the whole palace is as sad, dignified, heavy, elegant and weather-beaten as Hungary and even Budapest.

I have also been to Zwinger Palace in Dresden. Comparatively speaking, Zwinger Palace is more calm and indifferent, with the careless and heartless state described in the Portrait of the Virgin Raphael, the treasure of the town hall of Zwinger Art Museum. It looks at the world without sadness or joy, and lacks the melancholy breath that Buda sends out on earth.

It is not without reason that so many art films are shot in Budapest. The whole city is like a dying beauty. When it was young, the scenery was infinite. Now, although exquisite, it hides a touch of desolation.

Stone carving mottled, bronze turquoise, turquoise dome is not so beautiful and pure under the blue sky, but it has a heavy sense of history.

The cavalry in the castle square swaggered by, and the horseshoes clanged on the stone road, as if it still contained a trace of the ambition of the nomadic people-Hungarians have always been a people who claimed to be nomadic people.

Queen of Hungary (forgive me for putting myself in standard size)

When my senior sister and I visited the museum, we mortgaged two passports and rented an interpreter out of a full understanding of our superficial knowledge. There is no Chinese option, so you can only choose English, German or Hungarian. I can understand a little, but many historical events still can't keep up with the rhythm of explanation. Fortunately, talk is better than nothing. More than half the history of Hungarians is the history of fighting against Turks.

The huge oil paintings in the National Art Gallery, except for members of the royal family, mostly depict the war scenes with the Turks. So it is not difficult to understand why Hungary got the nickname "the bridgehead of Europe". For the Christian world, they are the staunchest believers in Christianity and stand in the front line of the struggle against pagans.

The Ottoman Empire and the Holy Roman Empire suffered repeated wars and defeats, and the blood of the Crusaders spilled on them. There is even an oil painting depicting a king who died in battle and rebelled against Muslims.

This painting may not impress foreign tourists like me, but for my own people, the king has become a black bone and the Islamic flag is flying in the distance. This is probably the most shameful moment in their hearts.

So it is not difficult to understand why Hungary has resolutely rejected the Middle East refugee policy in recent years. This is the so-called historical wound.

Hungarian aristocratic women

Of course, I also visited the church in Budapest, mainly Orthodox Church. The style of this church is different from that of western Europe. Sharp stones penetrate the sky, and exquisite towers are connected with clean walls. It is said that the Austrian emperor and Princess Sissi were crowned here, and the historical story seems to add a touch of amorous feelings to this pure white building.

The church where Princess Cece was crowned.

On the one hand, this country was once a king who died in battle, and the people were self-proclaimed nomads who adhered to the Christian position under many hardships. Therefore, it is not difficult to imagine that the temperament of this country is somewhat rough, heroic and majestic, just like their parliament building, it has a magnificent and serious beauty. We followed the instructions of the local people and arrived at the Capitol at night to see the night scene. The Parliament Building is built on the Danube River, facing the Fisherman's Fort in Buda Palace across the river.

When we arrived at night, almost all the young people traveling by the river rested here, so we also picked a clean bench to sit down and cultivate our morality.

In front of it is the quietly flowing Danube, on the other side of the river is the mottled Buda Palace, and behind it is the magnificent parliament building. The evening breeze is blowing gently, pigeons are jumping from time to time, and tourists around are whispering in different languages. This is probably the favorite place of so-called literary films, "pursuing peace of mind."

Walking along the river, the flowers placed on the white tablecloth in the Italian restaurant on the street have just bloomed, the yellow train is like carrying the old customs one step at a time, and there are always bouquets dripping with dew next to the Jewish iron shoes by the river. This country is full of history and seems to be moving forward in struggle and contradiction.

The mottled city gate is the symbol of Hungary at the top.

Of course, for my sister and me, history is only a part of the trip, and the rest needs to be supplemented by food. After all, I escaped from Germany, which was ridiculed by the European delegation as "a desert of food and a depression of fashion". Naturally, I want to try the customs of other countries.

But all good restaurants need reservations. My sister and I completely forgot this. Our first day in Perth was spent in the tragedy of being rejected by three restaurants in a row because we didn't make an appointment.

In a rage, we casually found an Italian restaurant in the street to solve the meal.

To tell you the truth, we went to that restaurant because the waiter's little brother smiled so beautifully, and because of the unique sweetness of southern Europeans, you felt very sincere when you closed your eyes unconsciously, so my school sister and I were cheated. When I was seated, I found that the Google score of this restaurant was only 3.8, and it was too late to leave. My beauty is wrong!

In the distance is my Marguerite pizza, which is made of buffalo cheese, tomato and basil.

But the food gave us a great surprise. The best restaurant in our small town in Germany got a score of 4.7, but every time I make an elbow, I suspect that the chemical structure of German teeth is different from mine.

However, this Italian restaurant, the standard Italian pizza with a thin bottom, finally made me feel my taste buds come alive. I ordered a classic Margaret, and my junior sister ordered a salami (it seems to be spelled like this, I can't remember, it's a pizza with spicy sausage).

The old lady with silver hair next door talked with us enthusiastically, so we learned that today was the silver wedding anniversary of her and her lover, and we also learned which food in this restaurant was delicious under her guidance. It's a pity that we can't eat a pizza, and the dishes she warmly recommended can only be tasted next time.

The day after that, we got to know a little bit about it and made an appointment in advance for the famous "Red Pepper" restaurant (translated into Hungarian). Here we finally tasted the national dish of Hungary: beef stewed potatoes!

I believe that readers have already smiled when they read this:

What kind of national dish is stewed beef and potatoes? Shouldn't it be handy Actually, it's not. The seasoning in Hungarian beef stewed potatoes is very special, and there is a flavor mixed with European and Middle Eastern Turkish dishes, which is slightly spicy, sticky and long. We ate the last small pot of soup and dry bread, which showed that it was delicious.

There were also jokes about this kind of stewed beef with potatoes in the Soviet era. When Khrushchev visited Hungary, he said that in the era of * * *, everyone could eat "Gulasi", and this Gulasi was stewed beef with potatoes.

So later, it is estimated that Hungarians never imagined that their national food became synonymous with * * * productism-beef stewed potatoes * * * productism.

Of course, there are many anecdotes about this dish, such as thick bread dipped in soup, so I won't say it here. Next time you have time, you may open a new one, specializing in European bread.

We ordered a bunch of strange things that we couldn't name.

My school sister and I just eat and drink, while others come to travel, take photos and go sightseeing. My school sister and I took two photos when we were looking for food. This persistent spirit is really touching, so naturally, we can't lose weight when we travel casually.

At the end of the week's leisure, we also realized that we needed to go back to a small German town to continue moving bricks and reluctantly bid farewell to the city. In fact, we know very well that we may never see each other again. After all, this is not a holy place that China people are keen on, and as ordinary people, we won't have too many opportunities to travel in this life.

This accidental intersection is like a romantic encounter on this blue planet, like a scattered pearl of time stolen in the long river of life, which makes people remember it vividly and feel deeply.

Maybe ten or even decades later, my memory of this city has reached the point where I need to use photos to help me remember. I hope I can still think of the old subway and the worn-out elevator I have been worried about, the creaking yellow tram, the sunset on the turquoise onion dome of Buda Palace, the magnificent parliament building, and the Danube River flowing quietly under my feet forever.

The Capitol at night.

Budapest is the hometown of poet petofi. His most famous poem among China people is "Life is precious, but love is more expensive." . If it is freedom, you can throw both. "

But his representative poem is a lyric poem, "I would like to be a torrent". In my opinion, this is a true portrayal of Budapest, quiet, desolate and brilliant. Perhaps, the torrent is running at your feet.
