1. Gulangyu Island. Gulangyu Island is a small island without cars off the coast of Xiamen City. It is very small and opposite the Xiamen Island Ferry Terminal near Zhongshan Road. Gulangyu Island covers an area of ??1.87 square kilometers and faces Xiamen City across the sea. There are approximately 20,000 people and it is a very popular tourist destination. Among the many scenic spots on the island, the most attractive ones are Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. Zhongshan Road is not just a commercial street, it is also the leisure, entertainment and food center of Xiamen.
