My experience of traveling around the world by train

I can't remember who said that "only by train can travel become a continuous visual feast", and I agree with you very much. When it comes to train travel, everyone is familiar with it. Most people use it as a means of transportation from place A to place B. If you take the train alone for a trip and an experience, then this feeling is so unique. You spend time and gain experience. Speaking of this unique experience, it reminds me of my experiences of going abroad by train several times.

Take the train of Tanzania-Zambia Railway aided by China in East Africa.

I remember in the early 1990s, I started from Dar es Salaam Station, the starting point of Tanzania-Zambia Railway, and went to Mbeya Station in Mbeya Province, passing through the famous Mikumi National Park, also known as the Nature Zoo. Watching animals on the train is really a unique experience. Tanzania-Zambia Railway is a traffic artery running through East Africa and Central and South Africa. It starts from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in the east and ends in Bo Shi, pirim, central Zambia in the west, with a total length of 1, 860.5km.. It takes about 46 hours to walk. The route is slow, stop-and-go, and it will pass many stops in Tanzania and Zambia. You can enjoy many unique people and natural landscapes along the way. It is also one of the largest complete sets of projects aided by China.

The train entered the boundary of the park shortly after entering Morogoro Station. Dar es Salaam is a low-lying area at sea level. The farther west, the higher the sea level. Mikumi Nature Zoo is located in Morogoro District, Tanzania, southwest of Ruf River, 300 kilometers west of the capital Dar es Salaam. It is 750 meters above sea level and covers an area of about 1300 square kilometers. It is one of the top ten national wildlife parks in Tanzania. It is famous for its diverse animals, and almost all the animals in this country have been preserved.

Baboons are usually the first to catch your eye. Sometimes they come to the highway near the train, in twos and threes, not afraid of people or trains. Antelopes, giraffes and zebras can often be seen in the dense forests on both sides of the road. If you are lucky, you can see elephants and lions, but lions are not so easy to find, and the color is similar to grass yellow. Giraffes often rest under trees, but giraffes can easily find them. They run on all fours, elegant and flexible, and quite gentlemanly.

Because the train speed is not fast, the speed is about 60 kilometers per hour to 100 kilometers. Sometimes giraffes and zebras scurrying outside the window can catch up with us in a short time. There are really many kinds of animals here.

Experience the Sri Lankan seaside train.

The coastal railway in Sri Lanka is one of the most beautiful railway lines in the world. Many people compare the Sri Lankan coastal train with the real scene in Miyazaki Hayao's classic cartoon "Spirited Away".

I experienced a seaside dream train in Colombo. The train is very close to the Indian Ocean, and it is shaking. The nearest distance from the sea is only one meter, which is the longest coastal railway in the world.

Facing the sea, I still remember the cartoon Li Hai getting on the train. I am sitting in this train, through the vicissitudes of life, ups and downs, time seems to have solidified, but silently people have endless reverie and aftertaste!

Experience the Alps train in Fromm, Norway.

I set out from the small town of Fromm, which is surrounded by deep mountain waterfalls, and reached the mountainous area of Milda at an altitude of 865 meters, with a total length of 20 kilometers. It takes only one hour to cross the deepest and longest Norwegian Songgen Fjord.

The most magnificent and beautiful scenery in Norway is panoramic. Along the way, you can also enjoy mountains and rivers, streams, fjords and cliffs. It's really a collection of wonders, and you can definitely see the "Norwegian forest".

This is the steepest train journey in the world, the first tourist attraction in Norway and the most incredible railway line in the world selected by Lonely Planet magazine.

The interior design of the train has a strong retro flavor. After all, it is a green leather train.

You can also imagine your trip as "a lumberjack entering the mountain". In fact, the passage of trains has this function.

This is one of the steepest railway lines in the world. It is said that it took 20 years to build, and it has become one of the most classic train travel routes in Norway.

On the train, you can enjoy the scenery of the fjord quietly. It's about 20 kilometers to Murdahl station, and it takes about an hour to go back and forth. Because the altitude difference is as high as 865 meters, it is no exaggeration to describe the scenery outside the window with "different days in ten miles" and "different scenery in ten miles".
