Introduction to Huludao Lingshan Temple

The existing lower courtyard of Huludao Lingshan Temple still retains the Tianqi Temple, Bell and Drum Tower, Sun Tower, Taiyin Tower, Tianjun Tower, King Kong Tower, Cihang Tower, Wanfo Tower, etc. Tianqi Temple is a courtyard of its own, and the couplet in the main hall is "Jue Shizhu Tianqi, meritorious service to Ksitigarbha Ksitigarbha". Outside the door, there is a pair of stone flagpoles and a gray sculpture "Golden Dragon Plate and Jade Pillar" in the middle. The dragon scales protrude with round eyes and a large mouth, and the steel wire dragon whiskers tremble slightly, which is lifelike. After leaving the temple gate, you step on the stone bridge, which leads to various Buddhist temples. There is a cross pavilion at the intersection. The outer walls of Taiyang Tower and Taiyin Tower are painted with pictures of the Twenty-Four Filial Piety. Each building is a two-story mountain-style building with a front porch, and there are gray plastic couplets beside the door. It can be said that it is a place where excellent calligraphy gathers. The tallest building is the Cihang Building. It is located in the east and west of the overpass. The bottom floor is under the bridge. It is a solid dodecahedral platform. The outer wall is shaped into dragons and auspicious clouds. Its solemn and sacred momentum is awe-inspiring and awe-inspiring.

The terrain in the upper courtyard is difficult, and there is a large natural stone shed in the middle with jagged rocks on the roof. Not many temple buildings in the upper courtyard have been preserved. Some caves have been preserved forever. They are called Bingliu Cave, Daqiu Cave, etc. The deepest one is called Wuji Cave, which can accommodate a gathering of thousands of people. Spring water often drips from the cracks on the top. The entrance of the cave hanging on the mountainside is called Nantianmen. From a distance, it looks like an open door. When the sunlight penetrates the door, the cave appears red and purple, making it increasingly mysterious and mysterious.
