Meet Wagu, a writer with a deep love for his family.

It should be said that I had premeditated my acquaintance with the writer He Gu, or in other words, we Wang Yi Writers Association, the most grassroots literary lovers, had premeditated it, because we have been looking forward to this kind of development in Tongchuan literary circles. A big flag can guide the direction of our Wang Yi Writers Association from a close distance. The first time I had this idea, I, an unknown person with no achievements in the literary world, felt uneasy. Because I know that Mr. Watani is a national first-class writer and the winner of many literary awards such as the Liu Qing Literary Award, the Bing Xin Prose Award, and the National Outstanding Reportage Award. It is unknown whether he will receive an unknown person. However, I still have some confidence. My confidence comes from the roots of Mr. Hegu, because I know that Mr. Hegu is from Yihuangbao Town, Tongchuan Wang. Although he lives in Xi'an, he cares about his hometown. He retired not long ago. With a pure heart, he returned to his hometown in fine clothes, repaired the fence in his hometown, built Xiaoyuan, expressed his feelings and wrote about his homeland. He published a collection of essays about his hometown, "Returning to the Garden", and the novel "Returning to the Garden" co-authored with writers Huang Weiping and Wang Xiaobin. "Chenlu Ancient Town" is filming a TV series. Such a person with deep love for his family should accept a fellow countryman who is traveling with him!

I originally wanted a friend to recommend Mr. Watsuya, but then I thought about it, maybe my friend would be inconvenienced! It's better to recommend yourself. So I found his WeChat account from the Municipal Writers Association group and sent him a friend request, thinking that success or failure was just a click away.

Unexpectedly, Mr. Watani quickly agreed to my friend request. After introducing myself, I got straight to the point and told him my idea of ??visiting him. What is gratifying is that Mr. Watani quickly agreed to my request and said that he was recently at the filming site of the TV series "Chenlu Ancient Town" and asked me to go there to meet him.

I think we had a premeditated plan and a mission. How could we visit him for the first time in such a noisy environment! So I took great courage and asked to visit Mr. Hegu at his residence in Xi'an. After thinking for a while, he agreed to my request.

On the next day, Fu Shuangquan, chairman of the Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Zhou Xu, director of the Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and I went happily.

As soon as I saw Mr. Watsuya, I was immediately attracted by his scholarly demeanor. He smiled and talked eloquently, as if he were treating a relative from afar, without any evasion or politeness. It shows a deep attachment and love for the homeland. This immediately relaxed our nervousness, and gave us the confidence to speak out. We hope that he can serve as the honorary chairman of our Wang Yi Writers Association and the literary consultant of "Wang Yi Literature Garden", and give us Wang Yi Literature at the appropriate time later this year. The Yi Writers Association gave a literature lecture. He immediately agreed and we were overjoyed.

Before leaving, Mr. Watani took out "Returning to the Garden", "Reading Xu Shanlin", "Musician Zhao Jiping", "1983 Ankang Flood", "Guo Feng", "Guo Feng" which he published in recent years. Nine books including "Looking for Dreams in Chang'an", "The Analects of Qinling", "Language of Heaven and Earth", and "Going West to Chang'an to Look at Congling" were given to us, autographed and taken with us enthusiastically. Then we weighed the heavy books and returned home fully loaded.

The second time I met Mr. Hegu was at the Second Member Congress of our Wang Yi Writers Association. On that day, Mr. Watsuya came to the venue as scheduled and gave a special lecture on "Literature and Hometown" to our attendees. His simple language, profound knowledge, wise thoughts, and strong nostalgia infected everyone present, and his views on literary strokes made us enlightened. He said that everyone who is engaged in literary writing must start from his hometown. To write good works, it should not be ordinary personal emotions, but should penetrate some of the roots of Chinese culture and should be some big consciousness. His point of view made me suddenly realize that our grassroots writers' association actually has more close-up writing resources, but we have always looked far away at the expense of the near.

The next time we met Mr. Hegu was during a folk gathering activity in Yixing Village and Gaoping Village, Wangyi District. Mr. He Gu braved the rain and walked into Gaoping Village and Yixing Village with us, the most grassroots literature lovers. He told us about Gaoping, Yixing, and Wang Yi. Once again, we felt his profound knowledge and deep nostalgia. In order to promote the development of tourism in Yixing Village, Mr. He Gu also named the observation deck of Yixing Village "Yuanzhan Pavilion" for free and wrote the three words "Yuanzhan Pavilion" in his own handwriting. We know that Mr. Watsuya rarely writes inscriptions and often declines requests from fans, but he happily does such charity work, which makes us stand in awe.

The last time I met Mr. Hegu was at a Sophora Flower Poetry Party held in Nanao a few days ago. Nanao belongs to Xun Village, Huangbao Town, Wangyi District, Tongchuan City. It is located on the plateau northeast of the ancient Yaozhou Kiln. It is a northern natural village with profound cultural heritage. There is an ancient locust tree more than 700 years old on the south edge of the old village. The twisting branches of the ancient locust tree, as lush as a canopy, stand majestically in front of the earthen kiln where Mr. Hegu's ancestors lived. They bear witness to the prosperity of the He family and the vicissitudes of Nan'ao Ancient Village.

Although Mr. Hegu has written many books and is well-known in China, he is always homesick and his heart is attached to the ancient locust tree.

Recently, I read Qin Longhua's "Nanwa Under the Ancient Sophora japonica" and Shao Guixiang's "Xijiang Moon·Nanwa Ancient Sophora japonica". I felt emotional and came up with the idea of ??a poetry meeting. Later, Qin Longhua informed me of this idea, and I immediately went to see Mr. Hegu. That day he was directing the rehearsal of his recently choreographed large-scale dance drama "Meng Jiangnu" at the Tongchuan Miners Club, and we discussed matters related to the Sophora Flower Poetry Club in the lounge next to the club. At first, I was quite concerned about organizing a poetry meeting in two or three days. I suggested that the poetry meeting should be held in early September so that everyone could fully prepare for it. However, Mr. Hegu said that the ancients recited poetry regardless of location or form. Just gather a few people under the big locust tree. From his words, I felt a strong passion for my hometown, the eager heartbeat of a famous wanderer in the literary world to change the current situation in my hometown, and a sacred sense of mission beating in my heart. Isn’t it our responsibility as writers to cry out for the times and benefit the people? We immediately decided on the poetry meeting plan.

That day, the breeze was beautiful, the locust flowers were fragrant, there were crowds of people under the whirling ancient locust trees, and the sound of poetry lingered. Dozens of poets and writers expressed their feelings passionately and expressed their feelings for Nanwa. Mr. Watsuya also chanted a word loudly to express his feelings. In the midst of the excitement, he sang a line from the Qinqiang opera in the dance drama "Meng Jiangnu": "Tie a donkey on the wall and kick it, the great man of the Qin Empire lived and died heroically!" In the applause, I felt the deep love for his hometown of a writer who has a deep love for his hometown. Shout!
