Introduction

Wuhou Temple (Han Zhaolie Temple) is a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national AAAA tourist attraction, and a national first-class museum. Wuhou Temple is located in Wuhou District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It was first built in 223 AD during the reign of Liu Bei and Huiling. It is the only temple in China where monarchs and ministers worship each other. It is China's most famous memorial site for Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, and Shu Han heroes, and it is also the most influential Three Kingdoms cultural relics museum in China. In 1961, it was announced by the State Council as one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. In 2008, it was selected into the first batch of national first-level museums.

Introduction to Wuhou Temple in Chengdu

Wuhou Temple is to commemorate Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of the Shu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period. When it was first built, it was adjacent to the temple of Emperor Zhaolie Liu Bei. In the early Ming Dynasty, it was merged into the Zhaolie Hall of the Han Dynasty and became the only temple in China where monarchs and ministers worshiped each other.

From 2010 to 1010, Chengdu Wuhou Temple Cultural Relics Area mainly consisted of Huiling Temple, Han Zhaolie Temple, Wuhou Temple, Sanyi Temple, etc. The main building is Wuhou Temple. The back hall is divided into main entrance, second gate, hall, hall, Zhuge Liang hall, Sanyi hall, etc. They are arranged on a central axis from south to north. There are 50 statues of Shu Han heroes such as Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang in the temple, as well as many inscriptions and plaques about Zhuge Liang and the Three Kingdoms culture in the area. Wuhou Temple Garden Area, located on the west side of Wuhou Temple, was the cemetery of Liu Xiang, the president of Sichuan Province during the Republic of China. There are stone archway gate, three-hole gate, square pavilion, Jianxin Hall, tomb chamber and other buildings in the area. It is the only northern-style cemetery building complex in southwest China. The harem is adjacent to Jinli (Jinli Folklore Area), so you can play together.
