The pitfalls and pitfalls of Guilin tourism

First of all, Guilin is definitely a place worth visiting. Guilin’s landscape is not only unique in China, but also considered a very good combination of mountains and water even in the world! There is no doubt about this.

But why do many people think it’s a scam? After playing for a few days, I personally think the following are the main points:

Guilin City allows you to visit the Two Rivers, Four Lakes + East and West Lanes at night. I spent one night and was a little short of time, but the night view really gave me a great impression. surprise!

You must take the Li River cruise to Yangshuo on the second day. Personally, I feel that this is the most beautiful place in Guilin’s landscape.

On the third day, you can take a bamboo raft rafting trip in Yangshuo. It’s 255 yuan for two people, which I personally don’t think is too expensive: considering the whole journey takes 1 and a half hours, the raft workers’ wages, etc. The bad thing is that if you encounter a crowded time like May Day, you will have to wait in line for a long time. Probably Yangshuo wants to retain the most original characteristics of bamboo rafts. They have always used two-person rafts, which cannot bear more than three adults. Therefore, no matter you are bringing a child or an adult, as long as there are two people, you need one raft. Therefore, people with children often find it a bit confusing.

On the third day, you can go to Yinziyan, which is the largest cave I have ever seen. It takes more than an hour to walk down the entire cave, and the whole journey is more than two kilometers.

The price is ridiculous: it’s just 10 yuan per person. In fact, the distance from the pier to the hotel is generally only about 4 kilometers.

Getting on the bus was a bit confusing: After getting off the cruise ship, I dragged my luggage and walked nearly two kilometers on a stone road to get to where I could get a taxi. It’s understandable that the locals want tourists to spend money, but it’s really too much to drag the family with them so far. Later, I used Didi to hail taxis throughout the whole journey - all taxis were metered, and the price was only one-third of the price quoted on the roadside before. Therefore, Didi is a must-have taxi in Yangshuo, and you can basically get it.

The traffic jam was serious: the 18-kilometer journey to Yinziyan took an hour and a half. There was no way, there were too many people! The same goes for going to West Street in the evening. I walked all the way there, but when I arrived at the West Street entrance, I just didn't squeeze in.

In short, Guilin is still a place worth visiting. As for how to avoid pitfalls, it depends on whether everyone has done enough homework.
