Visit the "Guishan Han Tomb"

During May Day, my parents and I came to the ancient city of Xuzhou to visit the famous "Guishan Han Tomb".

Unfortunately, on May 3rd, the weather was so bad that it began to rain early in the morning. We waited in the hotel for four hours, and it was not until 10 that the rain eased a little that we couldn't wait to start at once. "Guishan Han Tomb" is located in the northwest corner of Xuzhou, with a history of more than 2,000 years. This is the place where King Liu Zhu of Han Xiang and his wife were buried. When I came to the front of the mountain, the first thing I saw was two huge stone turtles lying on both sides of the door, which was very spectacular. Because the tomb was built on the mountain named Guishan, it is called "Guishan Han Tomb".

When entering the room (it is called the room because there is an old house in front of the tomb), the first thing I saw was an exhibition room, which displayed the cultural relics unearthed in the tomb: stones, pottery fragments and so on. The most important one is the ancient seal, which confirms the identity of the owner of the tomb. In the center of the exhibition room, there is a big stone engraved with some poems to the effect that although I am the emperor, I can assure God that there are absolutely no valuable clothes and gold, silver and jade articles in my tomb, so please don't steal my tomb.

Then we enter the passage through the side door. The passage is 54m long, width 1 m and height1.7m.. It's very narrow, and only one person is allowed to pass.

When we arrived at the mausoleum, we first visited the music room. There are many ancient musical instruments of Liu Zhu in the music room, such as the floor clock. The tour guide said that the difference between these instruments and modern instruments is that most of them produce pleasant sounds through the collision of objects.

Go through another passage, and you will come to the acupoint room in Liu Zhu. I saw some strange patterns carved on Liu Zhu's coffin. Some are like clouds, some are like dragons and phoenixes ... very realistic. Around the coffin, there are some dusty pottery, such as pottery horses, pottery pots and Taoguanyin. It is said that these are all things that Liu Zhu used before his death.

Then we came to Mrs Liu Zhu's grave. The tomb with the wife Lingshu is next door to Liu Zhulingshu, which reflects a way for the royal family to bury the emperor and his wife at that time: the differences in the same tomb. And "different points in the same tomb" shows how unfair the status of men and women in feudal society is!

After visiting the Han Tomb in Guishan, I thought: Without modern equipment, how hard did the ancient working people use to build such a magnificent tomb with their own hands! How great they are!
