Deshengmen, built in the second year of Ming Dynasty (1437), is one of the nine inner cities of Beijing in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Guanting Reservoir is the oldest large reservoir on Yongding River in Haihe River system, and the first large reservoir established after the founding of New China.
