As of August 29th, 2023, there was no subway in Qinhuangdao.

Qinhuangdao is a comprehensive transportation hub city in China, with Jingha Expressway, Coastal Expressway, Qin Cheng Expressway, 102 National Highway and 205 National Highway running through the whole territory. By the end of 2022, there were 1742 buses (electric vehicles) in Qinhuangdao, a decrease of 7.2% over the previous year. The annual bus (electric) passenger traffic was 33.3 million, down by 49.3%. There is no subway operation.

By the end of 2022, the road freight volume in Qinhuangdao was 61233,300 tons, down 2 1.8% from the previous year. Highway passenger traffic was 2.7810.9 million tons, down by 27.4%. The city's highway mileage was 8,908 kilometers, down by 0.3%.

Among them, the mileage of expressway was 356.66 kilometers, an increase of 26.6%. By the end of the year, 4,540 taxis had been put into service. At the end of the year, the number of civilian cars was 908,300, up by 10.9%, including 835,800 private cars, up by 9.4%.

Traffic conditions in Qinhuangdao:

The "big" expressway network and the "three verticals, six horizontals and nine lines" expressway skeleton planned by Qinhuangdao City have been gradually formed, laying the foundation for the construction of "1 hour economic circle". The large-scale expressway network consists of Beijing-Shenyang-expressway, coastal expressway and the connecting line from expressway to Beidaihe. These three vertical lines are: Qinqing Line, Leqing Line and Liu She Line.

Liu Heng: Jingjian Line, Lianglong Line, Triple Track, 102, National Highway 205 and Coastal Highway; Nine lines are the supplements of the road network skeleton, mainly including Qinglong Line, Shuangniu Line, Shanhaiguan Line, Haicang Road Double Line, Shen Jing Expressway Development Zone Line, Nannan Line, Fuliu Line, Luchang Line and Yanxin Line.

By 2022, Erqin Expressway, Qin Cheng Railway, Bohai Intercity Railway, Qin Jing Intercity and Qin Jing Expressway are under construction and planning. Qinhuangdao Railway is managed by Beijing Railway Bureau, taiyuan railway administration Railway Bureau and Shenyang Railway Bureau.

Five railway trunk lines, namely Qinhuangdao-Shenyang Passenger Dedicated Line, beijing-harbin railway, jinshan railway, Daqin Railway and Tianjin-Qinhuangdao Passenger Dedicated Line, pass through the territory. There are Qinhuangdao Railway Station, Beidaihe Railway Station, Shanhaiguan Railway Station, Changli Railway Station, Lulong Railway Station and Funing Railway Station.
