Please help with arranging Xi'an travel itinerary
The overall itinerary feels a bit tight, and it is definitely a great test for physical strength.
It is recommended to exclude Zhaoling on the first day of the itinerary. The Six Horses of Zhaoling and famous inscriptions are all in the Forest of Steles. There is less content on the first day, so you can go to Banpo Museum first, Muslim Street, etc. in the evening.
It is recommended to charter a car for the next day's itinerary. There is also the tomb of Prince Zhanghuai (the tomb is open) near the Qianling Mausoleum. It is recommended to visit it. It is very close. The journey was sweltering.
If you have time on the third day, you can add the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Studying archeology will probably take a long time at Shaanxi Expo, so go to Shaanxi Expo early in the morning and queue up to get tickets. There will be a lot of people.
On the fourth day, you can visit the Terracotta Warriors, Huaqing Pool, and Lishan Mountain. Take a hot spring bath in Huaqing Pool. Song of Everlasting Regret started in the evening, probably around 8:30, about 2 hours.
It is recommended to sign up for a group tour on the fifth day. The distance is very long, about 700 kilometers round trip. But if you want to go to Hukou, you won’t be able to come back in one day. The Yellow Emperor’s Mausoleum is worth a visit, and Yan’an is mainly for red tourism. On the sixth day, you should take a rest after returning from Hukou.
If you have to leave Xi'an on the eighth day, you have to choose between Hukou and Huashan. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to return from Hukou and then go to Huashan on the sixth day. Huangling, Yan'an, Hukou and Huashan are both worth a visit. It is recommended to leave Xi'an on the ninth day and add another day.
It was probably the afternoon when we returned from Hukou on the sixth day, so we should rest.
On the seventh day, rest in the morning for shopping and prepare supplies for mountain climbing. In the afternoon, go to the train station and take the east-line tourist bus to Huashan, visit Yuquan Yuan, and then rest in Yuquan Yuan until getting ready to go up the mountain in the evening.
If you climb Huashan Mountain at night, if everyone is in good physical condition, you should start climbing the mountain at 9 or 10 o'clock the night before, and arrive at the East Peak around 5 o'clock to watch the sunrise (if you climb quickly and arrive early, you can Take shelter from the wind at Jinsuoguan Gate Tower (Jinsuoguan Pass is relatively close to the East Peak) to avoid being exposed to the cold, wind and dew on the East Peak.) We will descend the mountain after dawn on the eighth day. If we hike down, we will arrive at Yuquan around 2 or 3 pm. We should return to Xi'an before dark (if we have good physical strength and few people). It's quick if you take the cable car down the mountain, but it's recommended to go down on foot, otherwise you won't be able to appreciate the dangers of Huashan Mountain and you won't be able to see anything at night. In July, Huashan Mountain is very hot during the day and very cold in the early morning. Please keep warm and drink water during the day. Things on the mountain are very expensive. Check the weather before going to Huashan. If there is a heavy rainstorm, don’t go. It doesn't matter if there is light to moderate rain, it will be more comfortable to climb, and there are rare Huashan waterfalls waiting for you.
Depart from Xi’an on the ninth day.
Supplement: If you are flying, you can leave half a day in advance to visit the Han Yangling Mausoleum near the airport. It is definitely worth a visit (you can also go first when flying to Xi'an), the underground world is super cool, Han Dynasty Terracotta Warriors and Naked Han Dynasty Warriors. You can check out this illustrated travelogue, search for: Sina Hanjia Yulinlang Han Yangling Mausoleum
Even if it lasts for nine days, there are still some places that I have not visited. Welcome to Xi'an.
