You need to apply for a visa to go to Laos. Laos opens ordinary visas and visas on arrival to Chinese citizens holding ordinary private passports. Chinese citizens departing from a third country can apply for a visa on arrival at the port of entry with relevant documents. ( 5) Other materials required to be submitted by the exit-entry administration agency of the public security organ of the provincial-level local people's government for approval by the exit-entry administration agency of the Ministry of Public Security.
For active military personnel to apply for an ordinary passport, after completing the approval procedures in accordance with the administrative authority, they shall submit the application in person to the exit and entry management agency of the public security bureau of the local people's government at or above the county level where the army is stationed.
