General situation of tourism in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province
Nanjing is one of the four ancient capitals in China and a famous historical and cultural city. All the ten dynasties built their capitals here, calling it "the city of the ten dynasties". These ten dynasties are: Wu Dong (229-280), Jin Dong (3 17-420), Southern Dynasties (Song, Qi, Liang and Chen) (420-589), Southern Tang Dynasty (937-96 1) and Early Ming Dynasty (937-96).
Nanjing ape-man lived here 300,000 years ago, and primitive villages appeared here more than 5,000 years ago. Nanjing has a history of more than 2460 years. First named Yuecheng, during the Warring States Period, the State of Chu set up Jinling City on the rocky mountain. Qin was changed to Moling. Shengzhou in the Tang Dynasty and Jiangning in Yi Song. It was not until the early Ming Dynasty that Nanjing was officially named.
