Introduction of Nanya Town

Nanya Town is located in the southwest of Kaixian County, Chongqing. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was built in Ma Si Bridge, and in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, it moved to Nanshuyakou, with the homonym "Nanya" as the field name, so Nanya Town was named after Nanya Field. It originally belonged to Nanya Township, Tieqiao District, Kaixian County, and then the administrative organization was streamlined and reformed. It was formed by the merger of Nanya Township, Shuxiang Township and minzhu town, and was officially changed to Nanya Town. Nanya Town is 45 kilometers away from Kaixian County, covering an area of 7 square kilometers, with an average elevation of about 5 meters. Most of them are shallow hills and landforms. There are 1 villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 97 villagers' groups and 5 residents' groups in the town. * * * There are 44,67 people, including 35,943 agricultural people, 8,727 non-agricultural people and 16,581 migrant workers. With an area of 44,194 mu of cultivated land and 25,588 mu of forest land, it is a well-known agricultural town, a major natural gas town and a famous business and tourism town. The hardening rate of roads leading to administrative villages in the town has reached 1%, and the level of comprehensive agricultural mechanization has reached more than 4%. Fish farming in rice fields and Guanxi honey pomelo have become the characteristic industries of Nanya Town. Many agricultural professional associations such as Guanxi honey pomelo Association, Walnut Association and Edible Fungus Association have been established, and efforts have been made to cultivate and build the brand of Nanya characteristic agricultural products. The accessibility of Nanya Buddha Temple, the largest Buddha in Chongqing, and the infrastructure in the temple have been gradually improved, and the tourism resources such as Badongyan, Sanshan Reservoir, Baihe Mountain and Wu Bai Lading Forest Park have been effectively developed.
