Mangshan Mountain is called "the first peak in the south"

Mangshan National Forest Park is located in the south of Yizhang County, Chenzhou City, at the northern foot of Nanling Mountains, and is adjacent to Ruyuan, Lianzhou and Yangshan in Guangdong Province on the east, west and south.

There are more than 50 peaks 1000 meters above Mangshan. The highest peak, Mengkeng Stone, is about 2 kilometers above sea level and is known as "the first peak in South China". The Changle River, winding among mountains, is one of the birthplaces of the Pearl River. The complex terrain, unique cliffs, strange rocks and watery skylight in the scenic area have created the magnificent landscape of Mangshan Mountain. There are Jiangjun Village, Tiantai Mountain, Guizizhai, Yashi and Monkey King Village. Mangshan terrain inclines from southeast to northwest, rugged, with relatively large height difference, generally 500-800 meters, with the maximum height difference 1400 meters. Standing on the main peak of Mengkeng Stone, the highest peak in the south, you can see that other mountains are dwarfed in the sky. And "Hengyang in the north and Shaoguan in the south".

Mangshan plant area is rich in ancient plants, belonging to well-preserved tertiary forest, and is a "refuge" for ancient plants. Precious plants such as white bean cedar, juniper, hemlock, South China hemlock and yew. China Taxus varieties Meili and Xu Changqing are distributed in large groups. The scenic spot is very big. If you want to visit the whole scenic spot, it will take at least 2 days. Visitors can stay in the county seat and enter the scenic spot the next day.

There is a shuttle bus in the scenic spot, and the fare is around 60 yuan/person. The shuttle bus is not managed by the scenic spot, but contracted by other travel companies. According to some tourists, in order to do more business, the shuttle bus will urge tourists to visit various scenic spots quickly, and the interval between trains will be longer.
