History of China Folk Culture
Professor Lei Jiahong, academic leader. Professor Lei Jiahong has made in-depth research on the academic and cultural history of Song, Liao and Jin Dynasties, the ancient social history of China, the folk cultural history and the local history. As a historian, he also participated in some important regional economic construction activities in Hubei Province and Wuhan City, made suggestions and made positive contributions. The construction of the above three academic development directions has effectively promoted the construction of the school's history discipline and expanded its influence. It is predicted that in the next three years, the history discipline will be strengthened according to the actual situation of the school and the development characteristics of the discipline, and will be greatly improved. Its basic goal is to build two master's degree programs in ancient history of China and modern history of China among the eight two disciplines of history discipline, and strive for the right to grant master's degree in 2005. It is planned to start the application for doctoral degree programs in special history in 2007. After the establishment of the discipline, it attaches great importance to scientific research and regards it as a major event for the future survival and development of the discipline, actively organizes and strongly encourages scientific research, and strongly encourages the declaration of various scientific research topics at all levels.

The teaching of history is now divided into two levels, namely, the master's teaching of history and the undergraduate teaching of various departments in our school.

Since its establishment, history has made full use of its own characteristics and advantages, actively devoted itself to undergraduate teaching, and played a positive role in improving students' comprehensive quality. For example, Professor Luo Jiaxiang, while engaged in postgraduate education, offered courses such as "Special Topics on China Traditional Culture", "Selected Introduction to Chinese Masters of Traditional Studies in the 2nd/Kloc-0 Century" and "General History of China". Professor Lei Jiahong has successively offered courses such as "China History and Culture", "Family System and China Culture" and "Special Topics on the History of China Thought".
