Why is there an European camp in Ertan?

There is an European camp in Ertan to accommodate water conservancy experts and engineering and technical personnel from various countries. In order to accommodate water conservancy experts and engineering and technical personnel from various countries, a European camp consisting of 120 small villas was specially built. Panzhihua Oufang Camp is located at the foot of Bodhisattva Rock and on the bank of Nar River, 8 kilometers away from Ertan Hydropower Station, covering an area of ??362 acres. In the past, the Oufang Camp was a place where foreign experts were accommodated during the construction of the Ertan Hydropower Station. More than 1,200 experts from 44 countries including Italy, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom were accommodated. It was called the Little United Nations.
