Laishui County in Baoding is the closest to Beijing.

Because of its long history, it is a thousand-year-old county. Laishui County was founded in the Han Dynasty BC and was not used until the Sui Dynasty. It was named after Laishui (now Juma River) in China.

Laishui County is close to Beijing, with superior geographical position, connecting Mentougou District and Fangshan District of Beijing in the north, Beijing in the west, 1 10 km in the east, Tianjin in the south and Baoding in the north. The transportation in Baoding is quite convenient. Now there are three expressway and two railways passing through Baoding.

Because it is located at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, the map of Laishui County is like a hammer, because the inland shape of the county is divided into three categories: mountains, hills and plains from northwest to southeast. As can be seen from the topographic map, Laishui County has a large mountainous area, with Juma River alluvial plain in the southeast and flat terrain in the county.

Generally speaking, tourism resources in Pingyuan County are relatively scarce, as are some counties in the southeast of Hebei Province. Baoding's mountainous areas have brought rich tourism resources to the county, the most famous of which is Yesanpo Scenic Area.
