Economy and Culture of Pescara

Pescara is the most important economic, trade and tourism center on the Adriatic Coast. Especially the 20 kilometers of coastline makes it the best holiday destination. It is the most popular place for tourists in Italy during the summer. At the seaside, you can see the waves crashing against the huge rocks on one side, or enjoy the gentle breeze of the water on the calm beach on the other side. There are many clubs on the seaside, which Italians call: Stabilimenti, which means establishment. There you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Hotels, playgrounds, parasols, everything. There is also a large shopping area there where you can buy many fashionable items and have a night out.

The University of Pescara is named after Gabriele D’Annunzio. There is a large industrial area between Pescara and Chieti. Between 1924 and 1961, the Coppa Acerbo car race was also held. Jazz concerts are also held every summer.
