Route Selection in road trip

A: Beijing (Shanghai Expressway)-Changping Xuanhua-Datong (You Yungang Grottoes) Hunyuan (You Hengshan Mountain, Kong Xuan Temple) Yingxian (You Yingmuta) or Beijing (Shanghai Expressway) Datong.

B: Beijing (upper expressway)-Fangshan Gaobeidian Baoding Wangdu (lower expressway) Wutai Mountain, Fuping Shizui, Baihe Ye Bei and Tangxian (total length 365KM).

Line C: Ligezhuang (National Road 108)- Laiyuan (National Road 108), Wutai Mountain, Shahe, Shentangbao, Li Jiazhuang or Beijing Zoumayi Xiaguandong Fuping 354.

Driving precautions

(3) When driving up the hill, please pay attention to going slow. Some sections are very narrow. Pay attention to the horn and don't slide in neutral.

Travel tips

Spring and autumn: from early April to early October of 10, the average temperature is between 10 and -20, and the lowest temperature at night is between 8 and-17. Winter: 10 from late June to early April of the following year, the average daily temperature is between 0 and-10.

Summer tourism

Wutai Mountain area is humid in summer and often rains. You need to bring rain gear up the mountain. You need to bring sweaters and pants when you travel to Wutai Mountain in spring and autumn. If you want to climb Dongtai to watch the sunrise, you have to rent a cotton-padded coat. From Fan Shi and Shahe in the north to Wutai Mountain, we should pay attention to the changes of seasons and climate. Before May and after September, the roads high into the clouds were blocked by snow and difficult to pass. Only the four months between May and September can pass. Summer is the best season to travel to Wutai Mountain.

Winter tourism

Wutai Mountain in winter is cold and snowy, quiet and beautiful, completely different from other seasons and full of another style. Although there are storms and heavy snow from time to time, we can reach Wutai Mountain in winter and can't stop the pilgrims' firm steps. Pay attention to hotels when you go to Wutai Mountain in winter. In winter, 95% hotels in Wutai Mountain are closed, and only a few hotels are open normally. So hotels have no choice, especially on weekends. Choose a hotel with high occupancy rate and adequate heating.

Matters needing attention in go on road trip of Mount Tai in winter:

Pay close attention to the weather forecast. If there is a strong snowstorm in the near future, be sure to consult the local tourism department so as to take necessary measures or change the itinerary.

In winter, all road trip vehicles heading for Wutai Mountain should take the route of Xinzhou-Dingxiang-Wutai Mountain City-Rucun-South to avoid entering Wutai Mountain from the west line or the north line with steep slope.

Check the condition of the car before departure, especially the antifreeze. Wear a snow chain in an emergency.

Travel tips

It takes at least three days to visit Wutai Mountain. If you live in the county seat, you can take a bus to the north on the first day and visit Songzhuang Temple and Beixing Temple. In the afternoon, you can go to Taihuai and concentrate on visiting Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Luohou Temple and Bodhisattva Peak. The next day, climb the top of Dailuoding nearby, and then visit Bishan Temple, Nanshan Temple and Zhenhai Temple in the central area of Taihuai. On the third day, you can choose the platform to get on the bus, and you can board Dongtai in the bustling direction of Beijing's original line. Visitors walking along the river and Xinzhou can board the platform in the middle and visit nanzenji and Longquan Temple along the way. Another itinerary is: On the first day, visit nanzenji, Bishan Temple, Xiantong Temple and Tayuan Temple, and climb to the top of Rhoda. The next day I went to Bodhisattva Peak, Guangzong Temple, Luohou Temple, Longquan Temple, Nanshan Temple and Puhua Temple. On the third day, Dongtai watched the sunrise and Nantai watched the splendid scenery, Jingu Temple and Beidou Temple. If tourists stay in Taihuai Town, they can arrange a two-day tour. On the first day, I visited Luohou Temple at the foot of Beishan Mountain in Taihuai Town, then went to Xiantong Temple, visited Yuanzhao Temple, Guangzong Temple and Bodhisattva Peak in turn, then turned back along the original road, entered the east gate of Tayuan Temple, and then visited Wanfo Pavilion from the south gate to the east. You can go to Dongtai to watch the sunrise the next day, and then go to Bishan Temple, Zhenhai Temple, Puhua Temple, Guanyin Cave and Nanshan Temple in the afternoon.

pay attention to

Wutai Mountain has a cold climate. Although the latitude is similar to that of Beijing, the climate is similar to that of Daxinganling. Therefore, tourists must pay attention to keep out the cold, and need to bring sweaters and pants before the Spring and Autumn Period. Taiwan Province Province has low clouds and high humidity in summer, and it often rains. You'd better take an umbrella.

Wutai Mountain, the first of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, has both magnificent natural scenery and rich cultural connotations. Wutai Mountain is the Dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva, so the main halls of many temples here mainly worship Manjusri Bodhisattva. There are many theories about his origin, but the most popular one is that Jing was born in a Brahmin family in Taiwan Province province. Because of his kindness, he became attached to Sakyamuni Buddha and became a disciple of the Buddha, helping the Buddha realize all beings. He is the first among the great bodhisattvas in wisdom and eloquence, so he specializes in the wisdom of Buddha and has great wisdom and Manjusri Bodhisattva.
