How to apply for a Malaysian visa?

Visa applications must be signed at any overseas Malaysian representative office. Visitors from Commonwealth countries who are not Commonwealth countries can consult the British/British High Commission and submit their applications. You can also apply online through the I-Visa system (only for tourists from India and China).

1. Unrecommended Visa Application (VTR)

Documents required for non-reference visa applications (visas approved by the Malaysian High Commission) are:

Original passport

Two (2) copies of passport.

Two (2) copies of the visa application form (form IMM.47).

Two passport-sized photos of the applicant.

Original ticket and two (2) copies (confirmation and return ticket)

Bank statement/traveler's check

Invitation letter (if applicable)

Visa payment

Note: Non-social visits require non-recommended visas.

2. Visa Application Reference (VDR)

Refer to the documents required to apply for a visa (the visa will be issued after the application is approved by the Malaysian Immigration Bureau/agency):

Letter of approval from Immigration Malaysia/authorized agency and two (2) copies of photos.

Original passport

Two (2) copies of the visa application form (form IMM.47).

Two passport-sized photos of the applicant.

Original ticket and two (2) copies (confirmation and return ticket)

Original ticket and two (2) copies.

Visa payment

Note: Student permits, work permits, family and professional visit passes require recommended visas.
