Venice is a famous tourist and industrial city in northeast Italy and the capital of Veneto region. Venice used to be the center of Venice, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic Sea", and gathered here during the Crusades, making it one of the most romantic cities in the world.
The downtown area of Venice covers the artificial island of Lake Venice 1 18 and an adjacent artificial peninsula along the Adriatic Sea in northeast Italy, with 1 17 waterways criss-crossing. This saltwater lake is distributed on the coastline between Po River and Piave River.
