Maanshan Tourist Scenic Area is located in Beishe Village, Malan Town, Gujiao City, covering an area of 1.500 mu, with a development area of 68 square kilometers, adjacent to Loufan and Jiaocheng, and close to the newly-built Jingyuan Road (70km from Gujiao City/kloc-0 and 70km from Taiyuan City), hence its name.

Maanshan has beautiful peaks, rugged rocks, pine trees and evergreen seasons. In spring, the mountain flowers are full of fragrance; Summer is green and delicious, refreshing and pleasant; Autumn leaves are like fire, passionate; Winter is wrapped in white, which is particularly enchanting. The residential buildings in Ming and Qing dynasties are integrated with nature and primitive natural landforms, which has become a beautiful landscape for the development of eco-tourism in Maanshan.

Ma 'anshan is located in the continental climate zone of the north temperate zone, with continuous mountains, lush vegetation, abundant pine and cypress, evergreen all the year round, rich and diverse climate resources, and the altitude difference of 1800 meters, which is a suitable place for many kinds of animals and plants, so the animal and plant species of Luliang Mountain are gathered here. However, in the planned economy period, in order to prevent the outflow of rich forest resources here, road construction was artificially restricted, and the surrounding area of Maanshan became a place with geographical barriers.
