Among them, the length of the line in Shanghai is about 64.8 kilometers, which will pass through three areas in Shanghai, namely Minhang District, Songjiang District and Qingpu District. There are two stations in Shanghai, namely Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and Songjiang South Station.

In order to welcome the arrival of this high-speed rail line, Shanghai Songjiang South Station will also be expanded, from the original 2 4 lines to 9 23 lines, which will be a transportation hub station. The construction of Shanghai-Suzhou-Lake railway line is designed according to the standard of high-speed railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and the construction period is four years.

Why is the Shanghai-Suzhou-Lake Railway a golden tourist route? Because this high-speed rail line goes all the way through the water towns in the south of the Yangtze River, it passes through many famous tourist attractions, such as Taihu National Scenic Area, Dianshan Lake National Water Conservancy Scenic Area, Xiaodian Lake, Sheshan National Forest Park and Zhenze Provincial Wetland Park, and it also passes through Zhujiajiao, Li Antang, Jinze, Shengze, Zhenze, Zhili, Nanxun and other ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River.
