There is no bus from Guilin to Fenghuang directly. You can take a train to Liuzhou and get off at Jishou, Hunan.

The available trains are:

1 Nanning-Zhangjiajie, 2012, ordinary express, departing from Liuzhou at 22:40 and arriving in Jishou at 07:42 in the morning. The train runs for 9 hours and 16 minutes.

2 Zhanjiang-Xiangfan, 1474 times, general express, departing from Liuzhou at 23:11 and arriving in Jishou at 08:37. The train runs in 9 hours and 36 minutes.

After arriving in Jishou, you can go to the bus station and take the bus directly to Phoenix. Ticket price is 12 yuan. If there are four of you, and if you are lucky, you can also see if you can catch a green taxi from Phoenix to Jishou near the train station, and bargain with the driver for a price. Anyway, if he doesn't pick you up, you might be able to get back to Phoenix in vain. More convenient.

It takes about 2 hours to get from Jishou to Fenghuang. The road conditions are not very good and you have to climb mountains.
