What ancient towns around Suzhou are suitable for tourism?
I. Ancient Town of Feng Jing
Fengjing ancient town is not as well-known as Zhouzhuang and Wuzhen, with a lot of tourists, so it is quieter and less commercialized, and retains the relatively primitive charm of the ancient town. Located in Jinshan District, Shanghai, it is the most important "Southwest Gateway" for Shanghai to the southwest provinces.
The retail price of tickets for the ancient town is 50 yuan, and the retail price of farmers' painting village is 30 yuan. The purchase of joint tickets is relatively favorable. The ancient town lives by the pillow river, and every household communicates along the river. The town retains relatively complete buildings in the south of the Yangtze River, with white walls and black tiles, stone roads and small bridges, giving people the illusion of going back in time. The town is full of souvenir and handicraft shops, including shops selling wiredrawing, Ding Ti and Zongzi. Here, you can also see the boundary markers of the ancient State of Wu and the State of Yue.
Second, Xinchang Ancient Town
Xinchang Ancient Town is only 8 minutes' drive from Disneyland. In ancient times, it was an ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River, made of salt. Tickets for the ancient town are free, and tickets are charged for individual attractions (such as the Planning Experience Hall). The brand building at the entrance has a guide map of the ancient town for reference. This is one of many movie locations.
The ticket booth on the corner is covered with posters of Lust, Caution and photos of Ang Lee. Further north is the main scene of Lust, Caution-teahouse, stone bridge, teahouse, river and antique shop, which is very suitable for taking the same stills as Lust, Caution. The snacks here are delicious, stinky tofu and radish cake are also not to be missed, and there are also old-born Suzhou soup packets, which are very authentic.
Third, Qibao Ancient Town
Qibao ancient town is one of the few scenic spots that can be entered free of charge. Although all the scenic spots in the ancient town claim to charge tickets, they are! There are basically no scenic spots inside, so Qibao Ancient Town can be said to be completely free! Qibao is the closest ancient town to the center of Shanghai. As a representative ancient town in Shanghai, small towns are basically tourists.
When there are few people, it is also good to blow on the bridge of Qibao Ancient Town or lean against the river to see the lights dim. There are many snacks in Qibao Street, and squid, mutton kebabs and stinky tofu are similar in Dachuan Ancient Town. However, you can try Shanghai-style cakes, Chongyang cakes, crab-yellow soup packets and so on. The teahouses by the river are all very good. Open the window and watch the river view for dinner. 8 yuan of scallion noodles can sit for a long time.
There is quite a sense of literary freshness here, and all kinds of literary handicrafts are sold, such as handmade bamboo cups, carved notebooks and oil-paper umbrellas. There are old Shanghai souvenirs such as "Shanghai Story" scarves and vanishing cream, which can be used as gifts for relatives and friends.
Tired of urbanized life, if you want to experience a different office life in Qibao, it is also unique to live in the Lion Cafe by the river and drink coffee with your notebook open. Qibao is a commercial ancient town, which is quite lively. If you want to find a quiet place, you can go to Cricket Cottage, Laoshang and Qibao Restaurant. Half a day is enough!
