Xu Xiake

Xu Xiake (January 5, 1587 - March 8, 1641), named Hongzu, courtesy name Zhenzhi, and nicknamed Xiake, was born in Jiangyin (now Jiangyin, Zhili Province, south of Zhili Province). People from Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province. He was a geographer, traveler and writer in the Ming Dynasty. His 600,000-word geographical masterpiece "Xu Xiake's Travels", which he compiled after 30 years of investigation, is known as "a strange man through the ages".
